Y/n's POV
I stood outside the movie theatre with Jacob and Mike. I was clutching onto Jacob's side, my head resting on his bicep which he'd magically grown. I felt off, there was a turning in my stomach and an aching in my ribs that felt like they were squeezing inwards. I also felt really hot around my face and neck but my shoulders and below felt freezing.
I think I'm coming down with something.
"You sure you're okay to be here N/n? You look really pale?" Jacob whispers, brushing a strand of my hair behind my ears.
"Hmm, I'll be fine once I sit down and drink some water." I hummed, snuggling into his arm, he felt warm like inhumanly warm. "You're warm." I mutter with a sigh.
Jacob giggled at my comment as we stood once again in silence. Bella was off buying our tickets with Angela and Eric. Jessica was yet to show though I had a feeling she was gonna bail.
"So Face Punch, huh? Do you like action movies?" Jacob then asked Mike who stopped pacing.
"Not really." Mike says weakly. I scoff into Jacob's arm.
"I heard it sucks. Bad." Jacob says rocking on the balls of his heels making me wheezy and dizzy. I groan, the boy stopping and muttering an apology.
"Are you even old enough to see this movie? I mean, you know, without, like, adult supervision." Mike snarls at Jacob discreetly, I still picked up on it though. I could detect the hint of jealousy and annoyance from the boy since lunch. It was obvious Mike wanted to get Bella alone but Bella wasn't stupid enough to accept the lonesome invitation.
"Right, yeah, well, Bella's buying my ticket for me. Y/n is also over 18 so there is no real issue." Jacob hums back ignoring the tone the boy had given him.
"She's buying it. Okay." Mike scoffs, still doing a bad job at masking his obvious annoyance. I lift my head from Jacob's warm shoulder, another reminder of the stark contrast to Jasper, it seems I can't stop comparing things to him. A numbness pangs at my heart as I hear Bella's steps approaching.
"Jessica bailed, and Angela got the stomach flu, so Eric's taking care of her. It's just us four." Bella addresses the small group.
"Great!" Jacob said excitedly.
'Never lose your innocence.' I thought. I tapped his shoulder and reached out for Bella's hand.
"Great." Mike mumbled right as I latched onto Bella with my clamming hands. Our group began to walk inside, Jacob leading the group to the vendors so we could get something to eat and drink throughout the film.
"Here." Bella says placing the ear piece for the voice over in my hand.
"Thanks." I whisper.
"You okay? You look sick?" Her voice is laced with concern, she touches my burning forehead. "Your warm." She mumbles.
"I should be fine once I've had something to eat and drink." I said dismissively. Bella dropped the subject. We all grabbed what we wanted from the vendors and walked to the screening area.
We sat: Mike, Bella, Jacob and me at the end. The movie started five past the hour after a bunch of ads for other films. Jacob and Bella chatted away while I sighed and slumped tiredly in my seat.
'I feel awful.' I groan internally. Once the movie started I paid little attention once again, to concentrate on keeping the water I was sipping on down. I had ditched the ear piece, I wasn't paying attention to the film.
I could hear all the noises, a specific scene played, my head resting tiredly on Jacob's shoulder who offered it upon noticing my state. He was chuckling at what was going on, his childlike innocence showing in his laughter.
Gunfire and screams echo loudly around the theatre followed by the soft sound of Jacob's laughter. Mike stood from his seat abruptly mumbling in a trembling voice.
"Okay, I think I'm gonna throw up." He dashed out the screening room, all of us following after Mike. At his mention of throwing up and a visible image appearing in my head I felt the queasiness building. We exited the screening room and cool air hit me, my hand stretched out to grip the wall.
"Mhmm." I groan, my hand resting on my stomach, the feeling of my ribs squeezing returning as my mouth dried up. "You know, I think imma be sick as well." I say walking along the wall.
"Bathrooms?" I mumbled. Bella takes me from Jake's arm quickly and leads me to the door of the female room.
"Need help?" She asked.
"Just to the stall." I managed as I felt the vomit threatening to come up. With head in, Bella led me into the bathroom and to the nearest stall. Once I found the toilet bowl I quickly shut the door and I bent over the bowl, I expelled my lunch from my stomach.
I heard Bella leave the restroom thankful to have a moment of peace while I threw up my guts. I was in here for a good five minutes before I felt the relief of emptying my stomach. I sighed and leant against the cold tiles of the bathroom after flushing the toilet.
I hummed suddenly feeling ten times better.
With a low chuckle I stand up off the floor and exit the cubical. Using outstretched hands I guide myself to the sinks running the water thankful it was cold and not hot. I rinsed my hands first before splashing some on my face and whipping my mouth.
Once done, I shook my hands over the basin and used my sleeves to dab my face dry. I smiled, making my way out of the bathroom using my hands. That smile soon dropped as I heard the commotion outside.
"What is your problem?" I heard Mike's shrill voice scoff.
"Right now? You're my problem. Feeling sick? Maybe you need to go to the hospital. You want me to put you in the hospital?" Jacob sneered, catching my off guard. I froze listening from a few feet behind. This was out of character for the sweet boy.
"Jake! Jake, Jake, the movie's over. What are you doing?..." Bella trailed off as she seemingly came between the pair.
"You're really hot. Like, you feel like you have a fever. Are you okay?" She asked the boy as I approached and placed a hand on his forehead.
"Oh I hope you haven't caught my sickness." I mumbled and pulled my hand away from his hot head.
"I don't know what's happening." He says breathing heavily. "I gotta go." He then announced before walking around Bella and I and leaving us alone.
"That dude is weird." Or so I thought. I rolled my eyes at Newton's remark grabbing Bella's arm and tugging it as a signal to walk away.
