~ Rose's POV~

I flopped onto my bed. Maybe it was the tiring night but the bed was really comfortable. The pillows and blankets were so fluffy it made a whooshing sound when I fell down. It made me think of cotton candy.

The creator of cotton candy sure knew what he was doing: giving joy and cavities to children all through out the world. I laid there thinking about cotton candy when I heard the door to our room open and close. 

"Jason!" I said sitting upright instantly, "I want cotton candy!"

He chuckled at me, finding my request or demand not at all serious. "Well, hi to you too," he said. I started tapping my fingers on my legs like they were drums, "I'm bored out of my mind, Jason! What do I do?" I asked, sitting up on my bed, "I can't be bored. It goes against my nature. We should have a dance party. I totally showed Hanabusa up." 

"Well, you should help me unpack first. Then I'll give you your cotton candy and while you're snacking on that, I'll give you a surprise." Jason said, knowing I wanted to do all but one of those three. 

"Fine! Surprise first!" I jumped on my bed excitedly on my knees.

He threw me the large bag of cotton candy. "Ya! Cotton candy!" I said excitedly, "I shall fufill my cravings!" I laughed like a mad woman as I shoved the fluffy goodness into my mouth. "Now surprise second." I said with my mouth full.

He smiled, almost mocking me before telling me, "We should unpack first so I can find it." 

I took my stuff and unpacked them as quickly as I could. I turned around to find Jason working at an average pace, not at all as excited as I was for the surprise. Grabbing a pair of pajamas, I went into the bathroom and prepared to go to bed, but when I came back, Jason was just putting his suitcase in the closet. 

"Jason! Surprise! Now!" I demanded in a joking tone as I jumped on his back. He flipped me onto my bed and shows me Aeternum as I laid sprawled on the bed. I look at him in surprise, "Jason! I thought I left Aeternum!" I threw myself at him for a hug.

"I'm giving Aeternum to you because this evening we're gonna have a sparring session. I think Kaname wants us to continue being sharp with our powers." Grabbing the sword, I laughed in delicious greed, "Does this mean that I can fight without feeling bad? Oh my goodness, Kaname is a saint!"

"Your not aiming to seriously hurt people, Rose. I did say sparring did I not? Besides your facing me first." I thanked him once more before he went to bed. I crawled under my covers and tried to fall asleep without thinking of the sparring session.

~Takuma Ichijo POV~

"Yeah sure, Kaname." I nodded as he asked me to run an errand for him. I started looking through the papers when Kaname piped up, "Rose? What are you doing this early?" I turned around in surprise and a small human girl looked at me skeptically from behind the door.

Widening her eyes upon seeing my face, she jumps out from behind the door, "Oh! You have awesome eyes!!! They're so cool!" she said ignoring Kaname's question. I smiled at her compliment. It wasn't often that I got a compliment on my eyes. "Thank you," I said, "Yours too." She had really pretty light grey eyes.

"Where are you going?" Kaname asked her once more. She shrugged, brushing off his concern, "Geez Kaname you sound like my mother. She always asked me that question." Kaname and I exchanged expressions and it didn't seem like Kaname was too surprised that Rose's mother would be concerned so often. "Oh Rose! Where are you going?" Rose said, imitating what should be her mother's voice, "Rose! I want to know where you're going today! Why up so early, Rose? Have somewhere to go?"
