"Well, it's normal to name what you created after yourself." Jason mushed my head affectionately, "You're a dope." He laughed.

"You're a loser.' I said, pushing his hands off. Fixing my hair, I looked around, to see that we were already walking towards the Night Class Dorm. I was about to voice my questions on this. It was physically impossible for us to have returned back home so fast...but instead of saying anything, I brushed it off. It must have just been me, zoning out.

When we got to the kitchen, we crowded around the room and celebrated. But only then did I realize that Zero had departed. How long ago? He came in with us. I was sure of it. Leaving the room discreetly, I smuggled a slice of cake outside.

"Zero?" I called out. Jogging out of the gates that separated us from the school grounds, I saw Zero walking away. "Zero!" I called out.

He turned around, stopping at the sound of my voice. "Here." I shoved the cake to him, breathless. Apparently it was a much longer jog when I had to carry a plate of cake without having it spill. But never the less, it was a-o-k.

"I don't eat sweets."

"Of course you don't." I sweat dropped, "Of course you don't." I said again with more emphasis. Holding onto his shoulders, I shook him slightly. "We could have gotten something else. Why didn't you say so?"

"Because." Zero said, "You looked like you were having fun and I wasn't about to hate on your cake. Besides, I'd rather not hang around these vamps." I sighed, sagging my shoulders, my lips parting slightly, "If you weren't happy, why did you come. If you were happier here, it would have made me happier too."

"Rude." He chuckled, understanding what I meant, but taking the surface of it. "Besides," He pet my hair, "You're safe, and I got to spend some time with you, so I'm happy."

"Are you?" I asked, skeptical. Zero was being so forward...It was strange.

"Yes." He answered firmly.

I let a relieved sigh out, "I'm happy then. Can I tell you something I wouldn't tell the others? This is the most wonderful dream ever. I feel like...now that we're all back together, I could explode from happiness."

"Dream?" Zero asked, "Wouldn't you rather call this real? This could also be real if you hadn't realized."

"If it is a dream, this would be the best ever."

"Apparently not since..." Zero mumbled off into something else.

"Since what?" I crossed my arms and we stopped walking. He stopped too, "What do you mean by 'apparently not?'. I think it's a reasonable question since you're saying I can't judge my own dreams? How did dreams pop up anyway?"

"Nothing." He said, "It's just that you didn't bring a fork."

I started patting around my person, "Oh, your right. I didn't. Funny. Hold that thought. I will be right back. I'll grab one for myself too so we can eat together." I turned to walk away, but he grabbed my hand, an suddenly something sharp sliced my finger. "Ow." we said at the same time. Looking at each other, then at our hands, I realized that there was a needle stuck on Zero's cuff.

"Sorry." I said, sucking on my hand to draw away the blood. He wipped his hand casually and threw the needle somplace else, "It's okay. We both got hurt...." He paused, looking up.

"I'll be waiting right here." He said, but smiled at me as if it were a challenge. So doing the daring thing, I turned around and jogged towards the building. It was going to be a piece of cake...with two forks.

Halfway there, I was stopped by Kaname from out of no where. "There you are, Rose." He smiled brightly just at the sight of me. I moved forward breathless. "Hey, Kaname." I said, "What are you doing out here?"
