Rolling over in my sleep, I fell off the bed.

Laying on the ground, I debated whether or not it was worth getting up and doing the duties of my job, or sleep in. Huh? Something was weird.

I must have fell asleep at some point in my mental debate, because the next thing I remember is someone poking my side with their finger. Opening an eye, I peeked at the intruder, bemused at their attempts to check me for life. "I'm still alive, jerk." I weakly pushed Jason away with a friendly but faint smile. This felt strangely of deja vu.

"Happy Birthday." He greeted with the same smile. Petting my head, Jason stared at me for a while. "I wasn't able to see you for two years and missed your birthday." He apologized solemnly.

"And I missed yours." I rolled over onto my stomach. I crossed my wrists and laid my head on them, only to hit my head on something uncomfortably bulky. Grimacing, I turned away when Jason noticed, "Something wrong, Rose?"

"Nothing." I muttered, "Just...I couldn't remember my dream. It was...different..."

"You'll remember. Something isn't truly forgotten. Never forgotten with the strengths of said Pureblood Rose." He said. I harrumphed, turning away towards my hand. Attached to my wrist, however was something peculiar and blood chilling.

A pearl bracelet with a red rose pendant.

Shooting up, I knocked Jason onto his butt. Running to the walk in closet, I threw the door open and stared at myself in the mirror, I looked a mess- something I didn't want to look like. "Jason!" I demanded, "Come here!"

As I turned- something caught my eye. The gold vintage dress hung on the back of the door ."Jason!" I cried out, "Do something I absolutely hate!"

Unsure of what was going on, he promptly started making a mess of the closet, which was tearing every dress, shirt, skirt, sweater, pants, jacket, etc. off the hanger and onto the floor. I stopped him, suddenly realizing I honestly did not like the mess he was making. "Okay! Okay! I get it! Hit me instead!"

"No." He complained.

I rolled my eyes, "Hit me. I'm a Pureblood. You hit like a girl. I'll be fine."

"Rose. You're out of your mind. Something is wrong with you." he claimed. I wiggled my eyebrow, "Hit me. It's your only chance at it. Just remember all the times I've hidden the towels and your clothes after a shower."

"Rose." he said firmly.

"Hit me!" I said, stepping up as he stepped back, but I slipped on a chiffon dress and hit my head on the wall behind me, giving me a massive bump on the head, but no permanent damage. "Jason. I love you so much, you don't understand. It was terrifying." I shot out as I got up.

I slung my arm around his neck, bringing our faces together extremely close to the mirror. "Rose-" "Now repeat after me: I. Am. Not."

He did as said, listening to me as a worried friend, as a lesser to a pureblood, as a student to the dorm leader, and as my brother. "I am not." he started.

"A witch." I said.

"A wit-" He paused abruptly, breaking the spell I needed him to reassure me of. "No, no, no, no, no! Jason! Please!" I pleaded with him, grabbing his shirt in my hand. Was he even Jason?

He put a hand my head, "Rose, you're worrying me."

"Please. Say it." I pleaded, "It's something I really need to know." He sighed and pointed our faces back to the mirror. He looked directly at my reflection, and we both stared each other down. "I. Am. Not. A. Witch."
