~Rose's POV~

All of a sudden we stopped.

"Kaname...why did we-" I didn't get to finish.

"Rose," he started, turning around to face me, "cherish yourself more. Caring for your friends then leaving would make them worried. Because Yuki doesn't like you, you'll be fine with leaving your new friends? Yuki just having a phase, believe me," Kaname lectured me.

"Kaname, in the beginning I didn't want to come here because I don't like vampires. I've made new friends and they're all vampires. I don't think that I really fit in here. I , after all, must have done something to make a dedicated sweet girl so.....angry at me. If it takes leaving then I will." I said, sadly realizing if that's what it really takes then I would.

"We're going to find Yuki and get her to apologize to you, Rose," Kaname said determined.

I mentally facepalmed.

He's completely missed the point in finding Yuki.

"Kaname......You really are.....," I said amazed at the stupidity of this pureblood... I thought they were suppose to know a lot of things.... since you know...they've lived for a while but still.

"You completely lost sight of why we're going to find Yuki. We're suppose to cheer her up, not make her feel bad. It'll give her the wrong impression on what our relationship is." I said trying to pull away from his grip...by the way, was really strong.

It was like a baby trying to struggle out of a metal clasp.

"Okay then I'll sort it all out when we see her." Kaname said simply as if it was gonna be easier done then said. Really this person was really hard to get through to.

"What are you going to tell her, Kaname? Do you think that she'll really listen to that stuff just give up on that, let me go? Find her and cheer her up." I said. How long have we been searching? How are we sure that she didn't go back to her dorm?

Kaname let go of my hands and clasped my shoulders,"Rose...you don't get it do you? I love Yuki. She's the most important person in the world to me and I'll do everything in my power to protect you too, but you have come really close to that too. So don't put yourself down so much like that just because Yuki is jealous," he said.

I didn't know how to react to that...How was I suppose to react to that? Does that mean he likes me? No that couldn't be...I haven't even known him for a week and he...he's telling me my importance to him comes close to a girl whom he's known for years???

"W-what do you mean by that?! I haven't even known you for a week and your comparing my importance of me to you with a girl you've known since...forever!" I said, mostly confusion and irritation at the confusion.

I push off his hands somehow and took a step back. How did he think I would react to that when he said that? I didn't know and I didn't want to know how I should have reacted. "Find Yuki and cheer her up," I said, looking down, my voice soft. What did he just say?

I turned around and ran.

Right as I was covered by the umbrage, I turned around at the voice, "Kaname?"

It was Yuki. I breathed a sigh of relief, he was stopped.

"Hey Yuki. I was hoping you were okay when you ran off." said Kaname, on spot.

"Oh, I-I'm fine you don't have to worry about me," she said completely flustered, " I'm glad that your worried about me though...thanks for coming to find me. I hope I didn't cause any trouble." she said rather happily.

"If your fine I'll be going now..." said Kaname knowing I was still there so I started running again accidentally brushing a shrub.

"What was that? Yuki said obviously startled. "Don't worry. Probably just another-" I was gone by then.
