Rei and the Frozen Pool

~Rose's POV~

I sat up in bed rubbing my eyes. I looked down and realized I slept in last nights clothes. "ugh...I should change," and got up. I looked out the window and saw a large lake that was frozen over. I widen my smile and turned to Jason who was getting up.

"Jason~!" I said droning his name on, "do you think we can go ice skating? It's been years! I don't even think I remember how to!" he smiled and said, "I knew you'd say something about that sooner or later,"

So Jason got dressed and went to ask if they wanted to join us as I put on my outfit. It was a white skirt and a long sleeved, dark, but beautiful, shade of red, tight sweater and I pinned on the rose Kaname gave me. I ran downstairs and found Jason sliding on the wooden floor with my socks.

"Jason!" I squeaked as I turned the corner and slid into him. We both were sent crashing on the floor laughing. I ended up on top of Jason and said, "Sorry!" while laughing.

Pulling Jason up I looked at the room and everyone was eating. "Jason did you ask them?!" I said excitedly.

"Well you see, I was in the middle of it when some sort of female Tarzan tackled me," Jason said. I laughed and said, "My bad, but I still think that socks on wooden floors are awesome,"

"We were wondering if you guys would want to join us at ice skating!" I said. "Sure," Takuma said happily. I looked around and as always the domino effect happened and everyone ended up coming.

"Hey, Rima? Do you think you have a pair of skates for me?" I asked.

When Rima handed me my skates I put them on and Jason and I went to the lake. I clung onto Jason at first. "It seems I lost my touch at this just like my dignity," I said as I fell on my butt for the 15 time before the rest of the guys came out.

Jason laughed and skated towards me. Pulling me up, he took my hands and guided me around the lake. I laughed, thrilled that I was getting the hang of it. I pulled Jason and we started spinning around until we lost balance and fell laughing.

"That looks like fun," Rima said smiling at us. I looked at their outfits and said, "You guys are so lucky to have such outfits," Everyone got on the lake and I got up trying to remember how to skate. I started out slow but then started to fall backwards.

I was flapping my arms and then Takuma came from behind and took my hands. I laughed at his sudden appearance and I said, "Thanks Takuma," I looked around and saw everyone dancing to the music that was put on.

"It seems that vampires have a natural skill for ice skating," I said. Takuma said, "Would you care to dance with me?" I took his hand and said, "It would be my pleasure," and started laughing at how formal it sounded.

We started dancing to the song and much to my surprise Takuma was awesome at it. I laughed the who way through as I kept on stumbling and slipping most of the time. When the song ended I looked over and saw Kaname sitting, watching.

I skated clumsily over to Kaname and when I was almost there I started falling but then Kaname caught my outstretched hands. I looked up and said, "What's wrong Kaname? Why aren't you skating?"

~Kaname's POV~

I looked at Rose's innocent eyes and realized she asked me a question. It was the first time I had ever missed something. I was too busy thinking to actually pay attention to my surrounding.

This is what happens when Rose is around. She works in the background but makes the biggest decisions. What else does Rose know? She knows too much for her own good but she keeps on wanting to learn more...yet even with all these thoughts she still remains able to keep everyone together like Takuma.
