Rose's POV~
I continued walking and passed by them. I didn't really care what Zero or Yuki did anymore. I just stopped feeling anything for Zero anymore, really if he just didn't want me around, don't just push me away and let me find out for myself. Was there a word for that? Well there should be.
I don't know why I should be so jealous when I was just Zero's friend. I guess I felt entitled to be closer to Zero than a good friend. Zero saw me passing by with my eyes on the ground. After they passed, I stopped, "Yuki Cross, I'll repeat myself, since you obviously didn't hear me earlier, Headmaster and Kuran is waiting for you." I said not looking back.
I feel so childish giving Zero the silent treatment but I hadn't felt this much anger at a someone before. I didn't know it was this hurtful to hate a friend. I guess this is why I did as much as I could for them.
But doing this also satisfied me...if that made any sense.
I sigh at how ruined this 'education' was and entered the Moon dorm. I seriously need to get some sleep before breakfast. I went up into my bedroom and saw Jason pull a shirt down.
"Sorry," I said as lethargy and weariness oozed out of my pores. I walked up to the bed and saw the teddy bear and blanket. I felt sick in my stomach and threw both on the ground and climbed into the bedsheets. I didn't bother changing.
"Rose," Jason sighed, "What's wrong?" he asked.
"What makes you think somethings wrong?" I asked in a monotonous tone of sarcasm.
"Are you seriously asking that question," he said almost laughing.
"Fine! I have to eat with the Headmaster in the morning! Happy?!" I said, although when I said it out loud, it seemed almost silly. He started laughing, "ahaha, that is bad but no, I'm not happy, what's wrong?" Jason asked again, this time seriously.
I let out a big sigh, "I saw Yuki lying on the bed holding a gun to Zero with him sitting on her. They were having a tender moment and I just....Then I also saw him bite into Yuki..." I said before letting out a dramatic and sober pause, "When you make me say it out loud my sulking sounds seriously childish. I mean....I'm just someone he knows, it would make more sense to be upset if I were closer to him right?" I said.
"No, Rose don't think that way! It had everything to do with you! We're really close friends with him! He shouldn't do that when..." He came and sat by my bed careful not to get too close for his own sake and for mine. "Wait, stop. Shut up." I said, realizing what was going on, "All this talk about me. It's almost stupid, I take up enough attention. I think we went over this, something about telling you my hardships to obtain pity?"
"Oh that... That's right," he said.
There was a short pause.
"Do you think you can come with me in the morning?" I asked selfishly, "I didn't want to go see Yuki and Zero alone...it would be awkward..."
"Hmmm.....Sure. That is if I'm allowed," said Jason. "Thanks Jason I owe you a lot," I said and rolled over in bed, "I'm counting on you again." He pat my shoulder before getting off the bed, "Of course. I wouldn't have it any other way." Jason said.
I snuggled in my blankets before I fell asleep.
And it troubled me to realize how easy it was.
~Jason's POV~
What was Zero thinking when he was doing what he was doing. Rose sacrificed a lot of time and health for him. Doesn't he know that?
I never thought that he was really good for Rose but if I did say that then I would feel like a father trying to hold back Rose from her friends....and I'm sure he might not be the best for her but he's one of her only human friends so I can't tell her that he's bad.
