~Rose's POV~

Sliding down the stair railing I could feel the buzz of the vampires in the lobby below. I jump from the railing and onto Akatsuki's back.

"Good Morning! What's all the buzz about?" I was suddenly slung from Akatsuki's back and onto a couch by him. I shriek in laughter and said, "So?"

"Well there's this upcoming dance/ball coming up," said Ruka. I laugh, "So that's why everyone is excited?" I asked surprised.

"No, everyone is not excited for this, they're actually against it. This ball is for both the human and vampire students." said Akatsuki.

I finally got a satisfying answer, I really would have been surprised if they were excited. Never took them for the type to be the ones for a dance. Except Takuma...

"I think it's a decent idea," I said, "It seems that the old man's idea of a peaceful life between the vampires and human are ineffective so hosting a dance he can actually see the dream for once, seeing the vampires and humans associate." I looked up and saw the thought being pondered by them. Hanabusa on the other hand said,

"This is Rose talking people! She says it's decent! That must mean somethings going to happen!" I throw the pillow that was next to me at Hanabusa and said, "Fine. Don't come every single one of you night class students can stay in this dorm all night! It'll just be Jason, Kuran, and I going!" I said.

Jason who was walking down suddenly froze and I ran to him, "See! Jason said he would come!" I said hugging him. Takuma sighed and said, "Sure, I'll come if you give me a dance, Rose," I smiled and felt a tiny blush rise up to my cheeks.

"See! Takuma's coming too!" I said. Hanabusa who caught on said, "There's no helping it! I'll go too," I laughed an said, "Senri! Rima! You too! Come to the dance! One night won't hurt," I said.

"Sure, it seems Takuma's going," said Rima. I looked at Akatsuki and Ruka and it seemed that they had caved in and they were all going to go.

Before we left everyone had heard about Ruka, Rima, Senri, Akatsuki, Takuma, and Hanabusa were all going so it created a domino effect and turns out everyone was going to the dance. I smiled and went to talk to Kuran.

He seemed like a downer today. He had and expressionless face like he was stressing over something. "Kur~an!" I said pulling his name out. We were walking outside to the gates now.

He gave me a look and said, "Need something, Rose?" I said, "Are you going to the dance?" I asked already knowing. He gave me a look also knowing that I knew that he was already going. "Why are you asking?" he said. "I asked a question first!" I smiled. He looked ahead and said, "Yes, now why are you asking?" I cross my arms.

"Your no fun Kuran. I'm asking just because!" I said smiling. "Just because what?" He said not playing along. "It's my duty to watch over you! To make sure you don't get out of line and into trouble." I said.

We were almost to the gate now. I looked up at Kuran and I saw humor in his eyes. FINALLY, the guy gets a personality! "I think you have the wrong person, Rose. It seems you must be mistaking me for a mirror." he said.

I scoff, "If your a mirror I can tell why all those screaming girls like you guys," I said. Kuran smiled and said, "I see your logic for once. It's kind of scary that I do in the first place," he said.

I punch him lightly on the arm and said, "Finally! You smile!" Then the doors opens and I turn back to Kuran. He was looking at me with a soft gaze and smile.

I glanced away and said, "I'm going to find Jason and Takuma." Kuran nodded an okay as I walked away.

I couldn't find them in the crowd so when I turned around I saw Zero facing away from me scolding a girl who was trying to inch away from the line, "If you take one step in front of me I'll make you cry," Zero was saying.
