~Kaname's POV~

"What were you doing on the night you found Yuki?" Rose asked me in a serious voice where all fun and games had left.

I remembered Jason asking the same question the night we were talking in the bedroom. It worked with Jason and he hasn't asked again yet. I'll to erase Rose's memory or she'll bother me until I cave in.

Which normally wouldn't be for a while but she's not normal. Something about her makes you compelled to tell her. A voice in the back of my head incessantly nagged at me, telling me that I could trust her and that if I just trusted her she would do the same. But...

"I'm sorry but the truth can wait a little longer." I said pulling her into a hug. She was surprised at the hug and started to stammer, "Kuran!" she struggled and tried to push away but she wasn't really prepared so she couldn't.

"W-what are you doing?" she said while failing an attempt to push me away from her. I put my hand over her eyes and my other hand on the back of her head.

Concentrating on taking away her memory, I closed my eyes and took her memory successfully. Rose grew limp in my arms and I whispered softly feeling guilt sit on my chest, "Don't make me do it again..." I carried her bridal style into the moon dorm.

When I came in I saw Ruka and Akatsuki up stairs walking to their rooms while Rima and Shiki crowded around Takuma reading a manga. Hanabusa was sitting bored on the couch turning his fake blood into ice...again.

I had been in the room for only a couple of seconds when I was suddenly surrounded by Takuma, Hanabusa and Jason. Rima and Shiki hurried over after a couple of seconds, and soon after was Ruka and Akatsuki.

"What happened to Rose!" Hanabusa said holding his head in fright. Jason sighed and said, "I knew I shouldn't have left Rose...I had a bad feeling..."

Everyone was crowded around me asking if Rose was gonna be fine so I looked up towards the room upstairs, "It's fine, Rose wanted a little nap while I was there so no need to worry that much. I'm sure she just wanted to sleep in so she could wake up at noon tomorrow. She usually does." I lied.

I didn't need them to nag at me. I didn't need all the trouble when I was just using them as a chess piece. I looked up and saw Jason, Takuma and Hanabusa look at me suspiciously. I decided to ignore it, knowing that this had to happen for my works to unravel as planned. I took Rose to her room and set her on her bed before carefully covering her with her blankets. I turned around and saw Jason, Hanabusa and Takuma.

"What really happened Lord Kaname?" Jason demanded. I'm guessing 1) he really cares for Rose 2) he doesn't care if he dies 3) he has guts, or 4) all of the above. But unlike the relationships created between me and other vampires, Rose had a genuine relationship that wasn't just for blood. She didn't understand how incredibly lucky she was. What she had between the family she's created here is rare in the vampire world. I look at Takuma and Hanabusa, knowing that they were sincere as well. I sighed, "I told you downstairs in the lobby. We should leave Rose to sleep."

Jason, Hanabusa and Takuma didn't look convinced and Takuma- I assumed it was in order to back up his brother- crossed his arms in a non-defensive way yet it told me enough, "Yesterday, Rose went to sleep early so she shouldn't have been sleepy." Weird, did she? "She woke up early today so I assumed she would be sleepy so I just let her. We should leave now so we can let her rest."

Jason, who wouldn't lay off just, "Well technically this is my room too," and pointed to his belongings. I looked over to the clothes spilled out on top of a suitcase, "What's Takuma doing then?" I asked cryptically. "Nothing wrong with a brother visiting," Jason said.
