The Day After

~Rose's POV~

The next morning I woke up and changed my clothes. I unraveled the bandages and remembered how I got it. Ichiru didn't seem half bad. I guess he really loved Shizuka. I didn't blame him. She was the one who saved him but in the first place he should've felt happy for Zero.

She seemed to have remained evil in my eyes the last few minutes, but the more I think about it, she was a good person.

She was just like Kaname.

She hid her good intentions with a facade and the only person to see through it was Ichiru.

I look at my arm again and see that it I'm glad it just cut it. It didn't go through or it didn't cut deep. Just a cut on the arm.

When I was finished I went out the door and saw Jason still sleeping. I remember yesterday night when he found out that I had the wound.

*flashback*

When Hanabusa walked out a couple minutes later Jason ran in. He looked at me and then demand to know how bad my arm looked. I could still feel the pain in my arm but I knew that I've had worse.

He came to me asking, "What happened?" I look down into the sink and said, "Uh...If I told you I got stabbed in the arm with a sword would you believe me?" in a shaky nonchalant voice. His eyes went wide and said, "Who were you facing? I'm sure you could've defended yourself!"

I sighed, "Well, if I wasn't to busy defending Zero..." I muttered. Why could it be that Jason didn't hesitate to believe that? "Well I'm fine now," I lied, "I'm actually better off that Shizuka..." I muttered quietly enough that Jason wouldn't hear.

But with my luck he had been paying close attention to me and had heard my almost silent words. "I know....every vampire could feel one of our pureblood princesses die," he said darkly.

"How do you know?" Jason asked me. I widen my eyes and said, "Well, um...I was with Hanabusa...and....he told me," I put together my lie.

We stood in silence as Jason re did my bandage. I flinch in pain and he slowed his movement to lighten the pain in my arm. "Jason?" I asked. He looked at me and said, "Yes?" I took a deep breath and said, "What would you think of me if I turned into a vampire?" I looked up at him and he stopped and paused,

"You didn't think about being turned into a vampire did you?" he asked looking straight into my eyes. "Well, no...not exactly think about it but....was offered it..."

he looked at me knowing what Shizuka bribed me with and closed his eyes, "Don't take the deal. We all like you the way you are, it's a hard life, being a vampire. No one here wants that for you," Jason said.

*end of flashback*

I went over to the bed, took his hand and said, "I'm glad I'm still human then..."

Walking out the door I realized all traces of blood were gone and I saw Hanabusa and Akatsuki walking towards Kaname's room. I ran up and blocked their path. "Hanabusa! What are you guys doing?" I said wondering if he forgot that we saw Kaname murder.

"We were called to his room," Akatsuki said. "Well I'm coming too." I said. With that I started walking with Hanabusa and Akatsuki towards the room.

When we entered Kaname was sitting on his chair causally and didn't look surprised to find me there with them. "Kaname," I said as a greetings.

"There was only the crushed body of Shizuka Hio," Akatsuki said, "and the headmaster said he took care of Zero Kiryu," Oh yeah. I hope he got some of Shizuka's blood before she...
