~Rose's POV~

I couldn't sleep all day. My attempt was to keep the pies away from the greedy mouths that wanted to taste them. Later on, I had miraculously found cute boxes that would be able to contain everyone's miniature pies individually without the worry of having them damaged.

I wrapped them up and tied them with bows, staying up all night swatting hands away. In the end, I had to carry them myself because I had little trust in vampires with pies. I was sure that anyone who would have helped would have taken advantage.

So, with the boxes piled high, I could barely see over the boxes.

The gates slowly opened; I could hear the screaming fangirls waiting to give their homemade or store bought chocolate to them. I half expected them to leave and collect their gifts but they just followed me to Zero.

As I reached a familiar pair of shoes, I bent my head to the side to see Zero.

"Hey! I've made everybody wait for you to get your pie, so take one!"

"You know your suppose to only give chocolates to the boy you like you know?" said Zero.

I looked at him and laughed,"I already know that, besides, I do like you as a friend... and Kain, Shiki, Hanabusa, Takuma, Jason, ectera! Anyway, these are pies, not chocolate,"

Behind me I heard Kaname, "My name was the only one left out, in that list," I turn my head to him and stuck my tongue out playfully before smirking, "I'm aware,"

Exchanging smiles, I turned back around.

"Besides, there's nothing wrong with giving my other friends gifts once in a while too." I hear Zero sigh before give in.

"Sure, okay," the instant he touched his box of chocolate, the boxes below it were taken. When I had stacked them up they were watching me closely to grab their box when I had handed Zero his so, in half a split second everything I made was gone.

Oh, my efforts....

Zero's box, because he didn't grab it fast enough, started falling after a second, remembering that the laws of gravity works on everything. I leaned forward and grabbed it but I stumbled on my own feet in surprise. Zero start to reach out to catch me....

but Kaname was faster. He caught me and I landed in his arms.

"Don't worry Rose, I won't tell Jason about this," Kaname said smirking while walking away to go collect his chocolates.

"You can forget about next year!" I yell out to Kaname.

"I wouldn't worry about that!" he said, not the slightest bit concerned.

I turn to see Zero holding my box, still unwrapped,"Something wrong, Zero? Don't like pies?" I asked.

"No, it's just that they seem too excited for the pies, you didn't put anything in there did you?" As soon as he suggested it, I understood his thoughts. He believed I had put my blood in the pies.

"No, of course not! If I did you would have smelled my blood all the way from your dorm, even if my blood wasn't so abnormal," Zero recalled my abnormal talent for magnifying blood scent.

"It's just that it's not norm-" he caught himself, seeing my anticipation for the 'word'. He knew what I wanted to say, "Your blood scent isn't a norma-" he stopped himself again as I bit my lips, waiting for him to say normal, "Never mind...What did you put in here?" he finished curious.

I smiled and put a finger my lips while bobbing up and down on my toes, "My secret ingredient," at that chosen time Kaname had started choking on a slice of pie.
