"I'm sorry to have woken you while the sun is still up," Kaname said.
I watched as Kaname and Yuki kissed and as soon as they pulled away, he chuckled. "Even after all this time, you still blush so much,"
I bit the inside of my lips to punish myself for becoming jealous. Such gentle love.
Kaname.....did we even see this? That this would happen between us? Back when we met, did it occur to you that our situation would be like this?
Stop it, I chided myself, self loathing isn't a good practice.
Kaname's eyes flicked over to me and he tried for a smile and as much as I wanted to return it.....I found that I couldn't. I closed my eyes and turned away.
The beginning was where all I saw was a tall handsome guy in the corner of the headmaster's room. That day I had misunderstood him and almost called him a bastard. That day I made some pies and he was worried enough to make me tell him what happen. That day he told me he might love me almost as much as Yuki. That same day I stubbornly called him Kuran from then on. That day he healed my back from kissing it. That day I saw his shocked expression when I took Hanabusa's slap. That day he and I were ice skating. That day he found me with my short hair. That day he told me the embarrassing reason for liking me. That day I started ignoring him stupidly.
All that time we would look at each other. Smile at each other, got angry at each other. How did it even turn out this way?
All that happened. All of that was something between us.
And we never saw this coming.
I cringed and fell to my knees from the sudden intensity of my thirst. A Burning flame scratched at my throat.
"Yuki," Kaname said, he was at the door now, "I left a little gift on your desk. I was a little hesitant but...I wanted you to know I was serious about what I said earlier."
She gave him a blank look but somewhere deep inside she knew what he was talking about. After he left, Yuki came around and I stopped her, "Yuki, you're still blushing." I said in a singsong voice.
Sh pressed her hands into her cheek and changing her shocked face to a stern one, "Were you watching?" she asked.
I rocked on my heel and giggled, "It's as he said, it's adorable."
"Shut up," she said, but there was no fight, she was smiling.
At times like these, we got along instead of going at each other's throat. Even though Kaname has told me at one point the two of us were more similar than we thought, we still didn't believe so....
until now.
"Yuki," I said again, stopping her once again.
She turned around slowly, "Is there something you want?"
I scoffed, "There's something I need to do." She turned to fully face me, interested, "And that might be?" I crossed my arms, unsure if I wanted to let her in on it. "Yesterday. You remember right?" She instantly knew what I was talking about. "You thought about that too?" she asked.
I shifted feet, "Yeah, it was rather cruel to use an innocent like that."
She nodded, "To take another with you forcefully when you commit suicide." I took a step back surprised. She believed it was a suicide. But from what Lady Sara had said, it wasn't what Yuki believed it to be.
"Yuki," I said, getting her intention, but I wasn't planning to tell her mine, "Are you going to come with me or not?"
She bit her lips and I said, "I'm leaving as soon as I change, are you coming?"
