"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean," he said, "You have way too much power. Having power like that doesn't come with a price. You'll always be in pain. I'm just wondering...why did it just start now?"

"I don't know," I said, "Continue,"

"Well, You need blood to sustain yourself but blood will only make it worse. Blood is life and power, Rose but to be honest, you already have too much life and power, to receive more is beyond any living creatures capacity,"

"You make it sound like I'm a superhero," I said, ignoring the fact that I know all too well now why it started acting up.

"It may seem like that...but Rose, it's too dangerous for you. You'll go insane with the pain. It's already bad with the bloodline but the problem with you is....I don't know,"

"So as long as I keep on using my magic stuff I'll be fine?" I asked, rejecting the idea from my mind at once.

"I guess," Jiro sighed.

My mind went back to what he had said, "Bloodline? What about our bloodline?"

"Nothing," Rei said, "Go back to Kuran,"

"Well, it's not bad to learn about our bloodline is it?"

"Well," Jiro said, "No, but-"

"Tell me," I said, seeing the hidden worry on his face.

"There's nothing bad," Jiro said, glancing at Rei before he looked at me.

"Okay, so.....is it a secret?" I asked, sitting in a more comfortable position.

"Rose, our whole family is a secret and there are only three of us,"

So Kaname's is well known and they have two, what's your point?"

"Rose," Rei said, taking my hands, "Do you honestly want to know about our family history? It's a bit boring,"

"Maybe I can see it as interesting, so, tell me," I said.

Jiro sighed, "Okay, I'll start. Rose, knowing I'm predecessor.....I also want you to know, I was also a brother,"

"You still are...aren't you?" I asked, looking from Rei to Jiro.

"Sort of... but I don't see you as a sister because you aren't," Jiro sighed. His eyes became distant, "I use to have another sister, a younger sister. She was just like you. She loved the humans,"

I leaned in, captured by his story. Another sister? What happened?

"Long ago, as I'm sure you know, there was a problem that arose between humans and vampires," Jiro said, "I was there, trust me, Rose, you don't want to have been there,"

That last part was said in such a dark voice, I was surprised. What happened to Jiro?

"Purebloods turned humans into vampires all around the world, Rose. People would be forced to serve the vampires and the vampires to Purebloods. They were all powerless. As you have already observed, humans....humans can seem to be weak twigs but they have their strong wills. When you take that away..."

I shook my head, "That's horrible..."

"So, my sister and I started a research. We were going to find a way to stop this. We were going to help the humans. We went from city to city in order to see if we could wrangle up some helpers. Then finally, we stopped at one. There, we found another Pureblood. That would be the last city where we would be together. In the end, she died helping them. I could have stopped it, though, her death, that is. I could have been the one to stop her and she knew it too. So, she sent me to other Purebloods. Knowing I was the most powerful out of the two of us, she asked me to go to other Purebloods in hopes I'd correct their behavior," Jiro said, "And so she stayed with our Pureblood partner,"
