~Rose's POV~
Next night we went to our classrooms really early and at that point of luck, Jason had remembered I was suppose to apologize to Maria.
"So," Jason asked, "How did it go?" I give the slightest hint of a look at Hanabusa asking silently if I could tell Jason. I don't think I've ever kept anything serious away from Jason too long. Even if I did, I would feel guilty and he would figure out sooner or later. He gave a nod and I looked at Jason.
I announced to the whole class, "Well as it turned out I went off track and found Zero and Yuki first and so we started talking. Maria actually came by and Zero drew his gun on her...."
"I shielded her as she hid behind me. Pretty heroic of me, I know." I threw in that part, in for my ego.
I think about my words carefully, "I also found out that she doesn't have a backbone and actually does knows how to introduce herself. I know, contradicting, but it'll make sense when I tell you." I looked at Jason and gave him a look.
Since we had came to class really early, The class was still the same as usual. I groaned, "You people don't know how to pass time do you?" I said.
"What do you want us to do?" Rima asked bored out of her mind as well. "I don't know," I suddenly got up, "I'll go check in the closet!" I said and ran towards the closet. A good teacher has to have something right?
I found a couple deck of cards and when Jason and I started playing poker, Rima came and sat down getting her a stack and getting Senri a stack as he also sat down.
When Takuma saw that they were going to play he decided to join too. Hanabusa looked over and joined the game. More and more vampires started joining the game while a couple started to look over our shoulders.
Kuran also joined and I started laughing. "Kuran this is a game of gambling but when you can read minds it's not exactly fair."
Suddenly everyone realized that they were going to have a hard time keeping their thoughts together. Kuran gave me a smile and said, "Just means that you don't have to worry don't you? Besides, I said it's not thoughts more like....emotions."
But even when ye says that...by the time the game was almost over everyone had either given up because of the tight tension or because they lost. It was down to Kuran and I. I frowned, wondering if he was picking on me for a reason, "What did I tell you about reading minds?!"
He gave me and amused face and said, "No harm done, it's just a game," I scoffed, "I really didn't expect to hear that from you chess boy," I said recalling the times he called everyone a chess piece.
Ironically at that chosen time the vampires found a couple chess boards and I got up calling a tie. Kuran looked up at me and said, "So your quitting? Doesn't that mean that you lose?" he asked in a smug, high and mighty tone.
I scoff and said fine what do you have? This is the last one lets see who win," he smiled and put down his cards, "Straight flush," he said, and I laughed, "Royal flush," I said tossing my hands down.
Both he and I started to clean up when suddenly everyone started giving their money to Jason. I laugh and said, "What's with the income Jason?" wondering why he would get so much money...
"Well everyone bet each other that Lord Kaname would win. Well everyone who hadn't looked at your cards and I told them that you were going to win and this is how it turned out," I finish collecting the cards and said, "Why didn't you go play chess?" I looked at Jason and he said, "I was waiting for you,"
We go and sit at one of the open chairs across from Takuma, "Hey-o Takuma! Prepare to be defeated!" I said. Takuma gave me a sly look and said, "I won't go easy on you just because your Jason's friend," I smile and said, "Just don't sulk when you lose,"
