~Rose's POV~

My eyes flutter open and I take in the ceiling first. Even though I knew I was asleep the first two thoughts in my head were 1)When did I fall asleep 2)When did I climb into bed?

I sit up lazily and look down. Jason was asleep holding onto my hand. He had been sitting on the ground had his head rested on his hand. Awww how nice, but I was clueless as to know what for. Why would he be sleeping next to me as if I was on my deathbed? I also wanted to find out how long he had stayed up.

I slowly shimmy out of my bed and to the bathroom to change my outfit and into a clean white school uniform. When I was about to leave I turned to make sure Jason was still asleep. Hmmm suspicious. He would have woken up by now...I walk over and put Zero's fluffy blanket over him and walk out. I didn't want to wake him.

"What is Lord Kaname doing with that girl?" I heard Ruka say as I sat on the railing. "What if he's just talking about plans for the ball?" I asked sliding down.

"Rose is right, Ruka," Akatsuki said, "The dance is nearing and he might have big plans in mind."

When I got down the stairs I saw Hanabusa give a grim expression. I opened my mouth to tell Hanabusa something important but I couldn't bring myself to remember what I was going to say.

When I closed my mouth choosing not to say anything, Hanabusa offered an amused expression. I don't take that in as I brushed it off and plainly said, "I'm going on a walk."

The room was really quiet except the noise of my boots clacking onto the ground which made me weirdly self conscious. When I was about to shut the door behind me I heard Akatsuki say, "She's awefully quiet today...something strange is up." So I was acting differently?

When I got into the woods I finally decided that the woods liked me or it would have cut me already in some way. I kept on walking in hope that what I had forgotten would come back to me.

Closing my eyes I lost track of what I was actually trying to do and started walking randomly. My mind wandered to what Akatsuki said. When I became aware of my surroundings I was below a balcony. A familiar one, like the one where Zero and I met. I climbed up the balcony out of sheer boredom and sat up there for a moment.

On the railing, I hung my feet 3 stories high, looking at the view.

When I stood up I was skimming the building and caught sight of Zero in the next window. He was lying on the bed looking like he had a bad dream and he also had a bandage wrapped around him. He was hurt? Who had he fought?

Geez he didn't know how to stay out of trouble, did he...

Well, either we're rubbing off of each other or it was a stupid mistake.

Being the person I am, I stupidly got on the narrow, railing-less, ledge 3 stories high. I wasn't thinking as I shimmied to the window and tried to open the locked window.

When I realized that it was locked I stood there thinking of how to get back.

Suddenly the window suddenly opened and a person popped out but I didn't get a close look because I had lost my balance and started falling.

I closed my eyes, my heart speeding up to that of a hummingbird as I died of a heart attack from the fall but then I wasn't falling... I looked up and saw the masked person holding my hand. I was dangling 3 stories in the air by a hand.
