~Zero's POV~
The Chairman let the ridiculously loud fangirls use the kitchen until midnight so Rose and I patrolled the inside of the school while Yuki said she'd be outside.
"Zero. What were you guys talking about earlier?" Rose said in the darkness. I didn't understand what she was talking about.
"What are you talking about, Rose? Who?" I called out. What was she talking about? I talked to a lot of people today.
"Your an idiot Zero. I was talking about Yuki. What were you talking about with Yuki when she about kissed you? Wow, geez, you're such a man. Of course you would forget." she said, exasperated. I glanced at her through my peripheral.
"I'll be taking that as a compliment Rose. Of course I'm a man." I said with dry humour.
"Don't flatter yourself too much Zero. I was just trying to make a statement." She said giggling softly. I turn around to look at her. She was looking at the window. She was looking at Yuki who stared into the vampire's classroom.
"Why does she have a love for Kaname? Is it because she's like all the other girls or did something happen?" Rose asked with unintentional offense, "It seems like her love for him is a lot longer than a semesters worth." she added sadly.
"She's liked Kaname ever since she was 5. She's told me that she was in a field of snow and a level E vampire attacked her when Kuran found her and saved her. To her, he's a vampire knight in shining armour." I told her.
"Oh, she's been nursing a love for him for a while now..." she said trailing it off slowly, "I wonder....how she sees me.... She's such a friendly person too," Rose stressed.
"Don't worry she'll get over it." I said. This wasn't usually like me.
"What's with your history anyways?" she said. I looked at her and just stood there, looking at the end of the hall.
"If I tell you my history will you tell me yours?" she said as I noted the reluctantly tone. I looked at her. Did I really care to know what had happened to her?
"Sure..." I agreed just as reluctant as she was. We didn't know each other she was only some student that appeared 4 or 5 days ago and happens to want me to talk to her.
"Okay....," she started, "When I was 5 or 6 my mother and father was murdered. I don't really remember the story much. I don't know, I think I was too young to remember..." She rubbed her face with her hands, aggrivated, "I genuinely don't remember, my memory is a bit fuzzy and it aggitates me. I know I can remember but I don't..I can't.. but I do know it was a vampire who killed them. I do know they protected me, and I do know that they loved me," Her voice straining.
"I don't know their deaths, but I do know them. My father would always cuddle with me, he would spoil me with presents and surprises. He would let me ride on his shoulders and comfort me in times of need,"
I stayed silent. I studied her, not in pity or in sadness. She wouldn't want that. I wouldn't have wanted that.
"I loved my mother," Rose said, "She would tell me stories until I fell asleep and we would cook the sweets and food my father liked. She was funny, I remember that, graceful, delicate, sweet, loving, kind, very enthusiastic..." Rose was shaking now. I didn't know what with. Anger. Fright. Worry. Revenge. This was a different side of her.
"She never gave up. Is all I know about their death. They never gave up. They showed far more than strength." she finished with a deep sigh.
She knows a vampire killed them...so...why...would... she should hate them. "Why are you friends with Jason and the night class?" I said not know what incredible answer she would give me.
