~Ichiru's POV~

"It's time to end this thing...Zero," I said after I aimed Bloody Rose at Zero. I think about how Rose hated this gun...Rose....she's a pureblood and I felt Zero's aura of betrayal.

I eventually found out Rido was after Rose.

That's why Rose was shaking her head at Takuma...when Kaname gave Rido his blood...Of course the girl wouldn't think of herself first, she had Kaname to think of, the pureblood who betrayed her multiple times.

"Ichiru...you," Zero said. I raise the gun and said, "Zero," and shot him.

I think about the times I told Zero I asked why we were born in two...I knew it would hurt him every time I brought it up but I did anyways. I knew it hurt us both but we both also knew...it was true. everything about how it was wrong that I was born...

"Zero," I said, "Don't pass out, look at me," I looked at his hurting body and said, "Behaving yourself in a place like this. Just like before, you never stopped blaming yourself,"

I walked to him and lifted his head, "Is that your way of atoning? I hope you don't think that it doesn't make me feel any better,"

"Thanks to you, I've realized, even if I didn't want to, that if I didn't exist you would be more free. This does nothing to make me feel better about Lady Shizuka being taken away," I said.

"Relax. I forgot something as silly as atonement long ago...that night....when I saw you smiling..." Zero said, grabbing my wrist and my collar, "How could you smile about mom and dads deaths!"

The vampire within him was straining to come out as his hand grew tighter and tighter around my wrist and Zero gasped in pain.

"Could it be?" I asked, "Are you losing control? I didn't wish for them to die. The man Lady Shizuka loved died and were hunted down by our parents. He hadn't lapsed into a level e but his name was on the list, they weren't to blame," I said, "They were just following orders...but upon learning the truth...I was disgusted. The very same night they killed him, they came home and hugged us tightly,"

I could feel the blood pool around me as I was talking.

Zero said, "Ichiru, I'll ask you one more question," and I knew what it was going to be, "Why are you bleeding so badly?" I sighed and said, "I just wanted to fufill Lady Shizuka's wish...and to keep Rose safe..."

"From the beginning, he was my only target," I said, "The vampire who locked up Lady Shizuka and put her lover's name on the list...Rido Kuran,"

I remembered what happened when I stabbed Rido in the heart with my sword..."Let me ask, why are you doing this?" Rido had asked me.

And I only replied truthfully, "I wanted to take the place of Lady Shizuka, from whom you took everything...and get a blow in," I said, "That is why I prayed for your resurrection!" Rido had narrowed his eyes and said, "Leave, I have no use for weaklings, you are in my way," and he stabbed me.

I could feel the pool of blood around my knees now, "I was fully aware," I said, "Even if I gave it my all, there was a limit to what I could do," I dropped Bloody Rose and fell against Zero, too weak to hold myself.

"I'm so useless...Did I have anything else to tell you?" I said after Zero gasped, "Ichiru..." Zero said. I could smell our blood all over the room, "This place is disgusting," I said, "It reeks of the smell of our blood. I guess to you, it's addicting, your holding up pretty well,"

"You've become a different being...just like Rose," I could feel him tense up about Rose, "but when you hold me like this, in your embrace, I feel so calm...so calm,"
