~Rose's POV~

I sit up in bed and realize 3 things. 1)I slept in my clothes 2)It's a couple hours past noon and 3)I'm completely awake. I rub my head and look at Jason. He's sleeping in bed peacefully. Wonder what he was doing last night. Maybe I'll tell him later.

I dress in a white pleated skirt with a tight red longsleeved v-neck. I put on my white ankle boots and just put my hair up in a casual low bun. I went downstairs and out the door without anyone noticing. I was in the mood for an ice cream so I went to town.

Ice cream works wonders.

Cheers you up, works every time of the year and it tastes yummy.

Car wreck? Ice cream.

Too hot? Ice cream.

Headache? Ice cream.

Winter? Ice cream.

Bored? Ice cream.

Depression? Ice cream.

Obesity? Ice cream.

Why not? I mean what beats ice cream on a boring, nothing-to-do day? It's still breakfast so I wonder...maybe they'll make an exception for me...

On my way I looked at the market and bought an adorable scarf with pom poms on the ends and a matching hat. On my way to Martha's shop I saw a little boy crying and I stopped. He looked up at me and I walked over. He tugged on my arm and kept on crying.

"Hey," I said softly, "What's wrong?" through his crying and hics, he said, "Mom," I bent down and crouched. "here, we can't have you crying like that, " I said, putting the scarf I bought around his neck and the hat on his head.

he slowly stopped crying and I said, "There we go, are you looking for mommy? I'll help you find her but do you want ice cream first?" I asked and took his hand.

Looking up I saw Yuki and Yori. She was looking at me and said, "You shouldn't make little kids cry, Rose," Yuki muttered and walked away with her friend. What was that about? I sighed, think about the kid and ice cream, Rose.

I took him to Martha and got two ice cream cones. When we left I said, "Do you know where mommy is?" I asked him as I gave him his ice cream cone.

He smiled at the ice cream cone and nodded. He took me in the opposite direction of the population but I hope that he knew where he was going. "Um... Are you sure you know where we're going?" I asked. "Mmhm," He said, skipping along.

He smiled and took me to an abandoned building. I started to think that he got the wrong place but the little boy let go of my hand and smiled happily.

He looked so happy but...."Is this where your mommy is?" I said getting on one knee so I could face him but his face was suddenly down. That reminds me. I haven't seen his face at all, his hair is too long or his head was hung.

He looked up and his eyes were a surprising shade of red and blue, multi-colored eyes. Smiling happily he said, "Thank you so much onee-chan!" I smiled and said, "It's okay, maybe I should stay with you, find your mommy and all so you don't-"

"It was scary and lonely being by myself," he said. I stop and smile softly at him. I know what that feels like. "I think I'll stay with you until we find your mommy," I said still at his height.

"Your a nice onee-chan," he said walking up to me. Suddenly I got a bad feeling but...he was a child...he couldn't be such a bad person.

I forced a smile, "It's okay," I said, "Onee-chan will take you to get ice cream again soon!" he suddenly stopped and started to hesitate as if he was having a hard time with something but then he walked over and kissed me on the cheek.
