"Ready baby?"
I nod, letting out a sigh as I finally get my second shoe on. "Yeah, let's go."
After informing Jessica and Londyn that we'd return later, we make our way from the house to Brooklyn, arriving at the new place and getting inside quickly.
Upon walking in, a grin immediately appears on my face, things settling into what I had hoped they would be.
"Oh, I love it," I grin. "I mean, it's empty but I love it."
He chuckles, following me further inside. "It'll feel more ours within the next few days. Once we get our things in."
I nod. "Bedrooms."
He nods in the direction of the rooms, showing me all five before turning to me. "Whose is whose?"
I bite down on my lip. "Tiniest princess will be the room closest to ours for sure."
He nods. "Agreed."
"I'm thinking this one for Willa, this one for Del, and then the one furthest from us be the guest room," I tell him, pointing at them.
He nods. "I think that makes sense. Especially the last one."
I give him a look, laughing a little. "Do we want to paint the girls rooms?"
He raises his brows. "I don't know, baby, do we want to paint the girls room?"
I grin. "We do."
He chuckles. "Well, I say we do it ourselves that way it can happen quicker. I can call Kevin in to drive down for the day and help me paint. Nick may be available too."
I nod. "Okay. I'll go online and choose the colors for the girls."
He nods. "Good idea."
I pull out my phone, licking my lips as I look at the different paint colors, scrolling through as Joe's phone goes on speaker, the ringing tone happening out loud before Kevin's voice comes through.
"What's up, man?" Kev answers.
"Sup Kev?" he starts. "Whatcha up to?"
"Not much, just doing a few things around here," he sighs.
"Wanna come to New York for the day?" Joe chuckles.
"Uhhh, I can, what you got in mind?"
"Addie wants to paint the girls rooms. Figured I'd get it done a lot quicker if I have some help while she packs up the house."
"Yeah, man, I can come help paint."
"Alright, cool. We just wanna get it done so we can move in and get settled. Wanna get the move over with, y'know?"
"Yeah, I get it. I'll be there in like two hours."
"Sounds good, gives me enough time to go get the paint and supplies."
"Cool, cool. See you soon, man."
"Love you, bye."
"Love you."
A few seconds later, Joe's arms wrap around me, his hands landing underneath my belly.
I gasp lightly. "Please."
He chuckles, gently lifting the bump to relieve some of the pressure.
I exhale, leaning back against him before whining as he places it back down. "No."
He laughs. "There's only so long I can hold it up."
"I know. I'm grateful for the bump. I'm grateful for the pain. It's just a nice moment to not have the pressure."
