The giggles from the girls are the only confirmation I need that this is what the entire family needs, not just me in my lonesome.

"Oh, daddy!" Willa says in a sing song voice as we turn the corner backstage, nearing his dressing room.

I hear a fake gasp before Joe's voice speaks up.

"Is that my princess?" he asks, acting shocked.

"Boo!" she squeals, jumping in front of the open doorway.

"Boo!" Delphine copies, laughing.

"Oh my gosh!" Joe gasps, acting scared as they both giggle uncontrollably, running into the room as I turn, following behind them as he lifts them both up, giving them hugs and kisses on their heads.

"Del, look! New coloring books!" Willa squeals as he puts them down, the two of them running off toward the small kid table where there are in fact two new coloring books and a container of crayons and colored pencils.

Joe chuckles, smiling at them before looking at me. "Hi mommy."

"Hi," I smile, walking toward him as he leans to peer into the carrier. "She sleeping?"

I nod. "Yeah, it's her short one though. She should be up in a bit."

He grins, kissing me. "I missed you."

"I missed you," I grin. "We all did."

He nods. "I know. It's been rough this time around."

I nod. "With you not being able to fly back and forth either."

He nods. "I know, I know. I'm sorry."

I shake my head, gently grabbing his arm. "I didn't mean it like that. I just meant we're seeing you even less than when you're normally on tour and it's rough. But we're making it. All of us. We'll be fine. Plus, there's only a couple of weeks until the wedding."

He nods. "Then you'll be on the road with me again."

I nod. "Thank goodness."

He chuckles, glancing off at the girls. "They seem to be doing okay, though."

I sigh, shrugging. "They're alright. They have their moments. Every day. At least one."

He presses his lips together, nodding and looking back at me. "And you?"

"Have my moments too," I sigh, nodding. "But I've been doing well with letting Jess and Londyn and Jacob help. I'm not being too stubborn, I promise."

"Not like you were in the beginning?" He asks, raising a brow.

I roll my eyes. "No."

He chuckles, nodding. "Good."

"Daddy!" Willa exclaims.

"What?" he asks excitedly, widening his eyes a little as he looks at her.

"Come color with us!" she requests.

He scoffs happily. "I would love to come color with you!" he says, making his way over to them excitedly, sitting on the floor as well.

I grin, watching them until Braelin starts to sir, making me look down to see her open her eyes, immediately beginning to fuss.

"Uh oh!" Delphine exclaims.

"Sissy is up!" Willa giggles.

Joe nods. "It sounds like it, huh?"

"Mama, she's hungry!" Delphine tells me, giving me a look and all of the attitude.

"Thank you, miss sass," I tell her, giving her a look as I adjust Braelin in the carrier, lifting my shirt and allowing her to nurse in the new position. Joe continues to color with the girls while she nurses, knowing he can't spend time with her while she's attached to my boob. In turn, this gives me a moment to close my eyes, lie my head back and let out a breath. It feels so nice to be together right now. All of the wedding stress, hiding my fear of the large gathering in itself has been a chore, if I'm honest. To be here, with Joe, the girls and plenty of security helps put me at ease. If only I could convince myself it's over for good. We all know I haven't had any luck doing so.
