Opening and closing my mouth a few times, I feel the drool running down my face as I lift my head from the pillow, my face twisting into a confused expression before changing quickly to a disgusted one as my hand wipes the drool away, sitting up in the process.
Glancing over at my phone, I notice the time to be seven. I only fell back asleep for an hour after pumping. What the hell?
Rubbing my face, I check the girls on the cameras, both of them awake but quietly doing their own thing, Willa "reading" a book while Delphine is giggling and babbling to herself. Dammit. I wonder how long they've been up. I hope it hasn't been too long and I didn't hear them.
Forcing myself out of the bed, I slip on my slippers and go to the bathroom, using the toilet and washing my hands before rubbing my face to wake myself up, moving out of the bedroom and down the hall to Willa's room, slowly opening the door.
She gasps lightly. "Good morning mommy!"
"Good morning, my sweet girl," I tell her sleepily. "Go use the potty, okay? I'm gonna get sister."
"Okay!" she giggles, running to do as I asked.
Getting Del out of her bed, I tell her to do the same, helping her with the process before taking both of them to the kitchen.
"What do we want for breakfast girls?"
"Oatmeal!" Del says.
"Yeah, oatmeal!" Willa giggles.
"Easy enough for me, thanks girls," I grin lightly. "Go sit and I'll make it."
They both run off toward the dining room table, taking their seats and patiently waiting, talking amongst themselves.
"Mommy! Is daddy home yet?" Willa asks loudly.
"No, baby, we still have a couple of days until daddy visits."
"Okay," she says sadly.
"I know, baby, I miss daddy too," I tell her, pouting a little as I set their oatmeal in front of them. "Fruit?"
"Strawberries!" Willa exclaims.
"I would've never guessed," I wink. "Del?"
"No," she shakes her head.
"Okay," I shrug, letting it go and getting Willa her strawberries before returning and sitting with them.
After breakfast, I spend some time with the girls in the playroom, pumping while in there and adding it to the fridge with the rest, returning to the playroom and watching them climb, jump, dance, and play until I hear Jess's voice behind me.
"Good morning!"
"Hi!" the girls greet her, giggling as they play.
"Hey," I grin.
"Go get to that baby," Jess grins.
"I know," I laugh lightly, standing.
"Mommy, are you leaving?" Willa asks, noticing my standing, her face twisting into a sad expression.
"Yeah, baby, mama's gotta go check on your baby sister."
"I want to come," she pouts.
"Aw, baby," I give her a sympathetic expression, crouching to her level. "You can't come to the hospital, my love."
"Aww," she whines, pouting deeper, tears welling in her eyes.
"Baby, hey, hey," I tell her, pulling her in for a hug. "Come here."
