Bandaged Up (Winston)

Winston's P.O.V

"How are you always here?"

Her tone was one of attempted disappointment and slight amusement. There was a hint of worry of course, but if she worried every time I was here she would never stop.

"I work with sharp tools and animals all day. It's a given,"I shrugged, pulling my sleeve up and holding out my arm.

"It really shouldn't be,"She sighed, shaking her head as she wrapped a cloth around the bloody wound.

"But it is. Besides, you're always happy to see me."

"I'd be happier if you weren't injured,"She insisted, pulling the cloth away and with it most of the blood, making it clear that it was just a cut from one of the Slicer knives. Nothing too serious but definitely nothing fun.

"As long as you're still a little happy to see me, it's fine,"I shrugged, watching as she wrapped a bandage around the cut.

"Ah yes. Because nothing is as enjoyable as you getting hurt a thousand times a day,"She deadpanned, playfully rolling her eyes as she cut the strip just enough to fit over the wound.

"I'd say it's only like a hundred times a day,"I countered.

"Because that's a lot better,"She sighed, gently pressing her fingers against the wrap so it would actually stay. When she seemed satisfied she nodded to herself and pulled away, patting my shoulder as she did. "Now you get back to work, and stop getting hurt,"She said, her tone part playful and part sincerity.

"I'll do my best,"I promised, giving a two finger salute. She rolled her eyes yet again until I placed a quick kiss to her cheek as I stood up.

"Yep. It is definitely time for you to go. I swear you two actually make me throw up in my mouth a little every time you're together."

"Shut up, Clint. Keep counting the supplies,"She huffed, not even needing to look back.

"And with that, I shall see you tonight,"I smiled.

"Of course. I'll save you a spot next to me."

"Bleh. Love."

"Shut up, Clint,"She repeated louder. Figuring it was time for me to leave, I gave her one last kiss on her cheek before walking out the door with a bandage and a love sick smile.
