CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO
- Dominic -
I WENT downstairs as soon as I heard Mommy call my name. I wasn't in a hurry, but I almost ran while rushing down the long, slippery stairs, only to find out that my Mom wasn't even in a rush to have me. Damn, I almost slipped while going down.
She told me there was someone she would like me to meet. It's my Kuya Lourence's friend named Samara or Amanda? Whatever, I'm not that excited to meet her, but it was a surprise Kuya brought a girl inside our house, and it's even surprising he has a girl friend. He's been an anti-social since before, you know? He liked to lock himself up to his room and didn't want anyone to disturb him.
"Oh, so this is your brother? Dominic, tama?" This girl Samantha extended her long arms to offer her hand. "I'm Samantha Aillie, your brother's friend. Nice to meet you."
I was taken aback by her amazing height. I mean, wow! How could a young-looking girl be so much taller than me? Well, she’s not really towering over me; I still reach her chin. I could say she’s not far from my age but she’s got the height of a model.
And who in the world could believe she also looks like a goddess? She has fair, flawless skin, perfectly aligned teeth that complement her sweet smile, naturally rosy cheeks, and long, flowing hair that's naturally black with subtle brown highlights. Her face isn't overly slim, but her jawline is still defined.
In short, she is flawless! She's pretty!
"Uhm... hi?" She awkwardly chuckled as she noticed my reaction.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm just... I can't just believe I meet you," I faked my laugh and accepted her hand. "John Dominic. Nice to meet you... Aillie."
She laughed, it was graceful to watch. "Don't call me by that name, okay? And please call me Ate or Sis, I'm five years older than you."
"Really?" She's 5 years ahead of me? But she doesn't look like she is! I thought we were the same age!
She nodded three times. "That's why you need to call me Ate. You're so cute pala sa personal, 'no? Gwapo ka gaya ng kapatid mo, hihi." Then she gave me a pretty damn smile.
I didn't have a chance to reply as I was busy staring at her smiling. I couldn’t take my eyes off her as if I were looking at a perfect creation in a museum. That was only our first meeting but I couldn't wait to see her often visit here.
That was the first time to meet her but I think my heart and mind have agreed to like her already. I think... I like Samantha Aillie already.
...
"You know Jason too? He's my friend in Jordan High!"
Samantha happily exclaimed when I said I knew Jason Mendez who's currently studying at Jordan High. I was shocked that she knew him too, but it's not surprising knowing they go to the same school.
Hmm... is he courting my Aillie or what?
"Really? That's wow." I didn't know whether to exaggerate or stay calm to match her high energy, but she's cute, huh?
"Sasabihin ko sa kaniyang na-meet na kita, at kapag nagkita kami ikaw ang ita-topic namin. You know, marami akong gustong malaman about sa'yo."
"Bakit naman marami kang gustong malaman sa 'kin?" I almost stuttered but didn't make it obvious.
She sat beside me and wrapped her arm on my back so her hand would touch my shoulder. I was frozen.
"Kasi gusto kong makilala ang kapatid ng kaibigan ko. Bihira ka lang kasing makwento sa 'kin ni Lourence kaya wala akong masyadong alam sa'yo, so if may chance p'wedeng si Jason na lang ang tanungin ko. At least makikilala ko ang little brother ko, 'di ba?" She smiled.
