JULIETTE'S POV:

There is something that he's not telling me.

Aaron is hiding something from me and I have had enough of being lied to.
And then, on top of that, it has something to do with my brother. I am not as foolish as Aaron thinks. I know that he hasn't had Leo kept in interrogation, he isn't cruel - he wouldn't do this to me. I suppose that it's nice that he is staying to protect me, but from what, is what I want to find the answer to.

"Come on," I say, looking Kenji dead in the eyes as we walk along the beach shoreline, "it's weird, isn't it, though?"

Kenji laughs, looking at me like I have gone insane... touchy topic. "Juliette, you are overthinking this. I am the first person to call Warner all the names under the sun, but even I would say that he would never lie to you."

It's true, it really is, but it's the only explanation as for what's going on right now. He is lying to me and I know it. "Fine," I say, annoyed that he won't believe me, "being as you don't believe me, I'll do this detective work on my own."

I turn to match off, towards the sector building, only to be stopped by Kenji putting his hand on my shoulder. "Hey J," he looks worried, "whatever you find, maybe he is only lying to you to protect you."

He knows something.

"Kenji, what do you know?" I say, sharply, causing him to swallow harshly. "You are in on this as well aren't you?"

He remains silent.

"Unbelievable!" I shout, flailing my arms up in the air. "I trusted you, Kenji." Tears form, filling my eyes with wet warmth. "I confided in you! You have been telling all that I have found back to Aaron, haven't you? You've been helping him cover his tracks!"

Kenji let go of my shoulder, letting me go. He looks down, as if he is disappointed in himself. "J, I-"

I don't let him finish, looking at him one last time before rushing off towards the sector forty five building. I can't believe this, the two people that I trust most in this world have been hiding something from me.

The tears that I have held in, come spilling out. The salted droplets warmed my freezing cold, red cheeks. I rush into the building, taking sharp and fast turns, navigating through the sector and towards Aaron's room, which has his office attached to it.

———

Once I reach the door to Aaron's bedroom, I pull out my key that Aaron had made for me to have on me so I can get into our room, well, technically it's his room, but it's basically mine as well.

Once inside, I march over to Aaron's office door, knocking on the door, before walking in. "Aaron," I say, seeing him sitting at his desk, lost in whatever the paper in front of him says.

"Love?!" He said, seemingly confused. "Sorry I didn't hear you come in, are you okay, sweetheart?"

My arms fold over my chest, a frustrated look appears on my face. "No," I say, my voice demanding, "you and Kenji are keeping something from me and I've had enough of it!"

The colour drains from his cheeks, the paper work in front of him, that previously had him so engrossed, seems as though, to him, it's not important anymore. "Love, what did Kishimoto tell you?"

I scoff, "I can't believe you!" My hands slam on to his desk, shaking the whole thing. "Aaron, Kenji didn't say anything, well, he did but the only thing he said was that you might have your reasons, or something along the lines of that."

His jaw clenches, tightening his already sharp jawline some more. "Love, let me explain."

I almost want to laugh. "Are you serious right now Aaron?" The tension in the room is palpable, the fear on Aaron's face makes me want to crack, I hate to see him in any kind of emotional distress or pain. "Stop, don't look at me like that!" I shout, using my hands to cover my eyes. As I do this, I feel something strange - my head begins to throb, causing my vision to blur.

I close my eyes, trying to rid myself of the pounding that has just, ever so suddenly, began.
My vision blurs, only to regain focus again a few seconds later. I feel my eyelids become droopy, almost begging me to shut them and let the infectious wave of exhaustion win.

No, I think, keep fighting Juliette.

I try, really try, but it's pointless. The darkness consumes me.

AARON'S POV:

She falls to the floor, after about thirty seconds of obvious suffering. I rush to catch her, swooping her up into my arms.

"Juliette," I pleaded with her to open those beautiful eyes that she keeps trapped under her eyelids, "can you hear me, love?"

When I gain nothing in response, I rush, with her in my arms to the medical quarters.

"Someone help me!" I shout, my commanding voice sharp and firm. "NOW!"

Multiple men and women come rushing over, including Kishimoto's crush, Millie. "Oh my gosh, Miss Ferras, is she okay, Mr Warner?" Millie asks, "follow me." She takes me into a room, I lay Juliette down on a bed. "What happened?" She asks, grabbing a stethoscope. "I know about what happened when she was kidnapped, but only really stressful situations would cause this kind of reaction."

"Her brother is in intensive care, in a coma, because of the diagnosis I didn't tell her." I say, grabbing Juliette's hand as Millie continues to examine her. "She found out I think she began to suspect that the secret had something to do with her brother."

Millie frowns, her brow holding tension. "I know about that boy, Theodore Ferras?" She questions, even though she already knows the answer.

"Yeah," I answer her probably rhetorical question, "thats him."

"You did right by not telling her, something that big of a shock could have sent her back into a coma." Millie grabs one of the thermometers from a cabinet that rests above a sink. "Though, the situation is rare and delicate."

"She is okay though, right?" I question, nerves oozing out of me.

"She will be fine." Millie says, putting my mind at ease.

Thank goodness.

I have no idea what I would have done if something were to happen to her.

She is my world.

Without her, I am nothing but a sack of flesh and bones.

I need her.
