AARON'S POV:

I can't stand the tension that's in the air surrounding Kishimoto and Millie. It is exhausting.
To be quite frank, I have absolutely no interest in either of their welfare's when my fiancée is laying in a hospital bed.

"So," making a clicking voice with the base of his tongue, "J is going to be alright, isn't she?"

Millie huffs, trailing her eyes off the man my future wife calls her best friend, and to Juliette's charts, her eyes scanning the paper. "Yes, she's fine. I believe it was just the stress and shock."

That sentence causes the breathlessly bitter breath that I have been fighting to keep in. Without her I do not wish to breathe. If she isn't with me for the remaining duration of the time I roam the godforsaken world, then nothing holds worth - everything then becomes worthless.

"I must insist that everyone remains causing her no stress at all." Advises Nurse Millie. "Nor should she be doing any extensive physical pursuits," flushing with redness, she carries on with her rules, "which does include..." she clears her throat, awkwardness basically radiating off her, "bedroom fun."

I look at her, my eyebrow raises. I'm curious of its own accord. "What does that mean?"

Kenji runs his hands down the front of his face, looking fed up. "She means no bumping and grinding on one another."

My mouth falls agape, leaving me mute, utterly inarticulate. The words that just formed from Kishimoto's mouth cause a certain amount of embarrassment, sure - of course they do, but the main reason for my current state is the protectiveness that I feel towards Juliette.

"What?" He looks at me as if he hasn't just made the most inappropriate comment ever. Especially being as we are in a hospital! A literal medical facility!

"That is what she said!" The complete imbecile doubles down on his confused sentiments when it comes to knowing what to say and when to say it. "You clearly can't read between the lines." He tries to insult my intelligence.

"Okay, thank you Kishimoto." Nurse Millie says, her face scrunching in awkwardness. "Anyway, as I was saying, she needs rest, both mentally and physically, so no sexual activities for a week or so."

My cheeks heat up, probably changing to show a pink-ish-red hue. "I- I, okay. Yeah, that's fine." I struggle, rushing out the words - wanting nothing more than for this conversation to be over.

"Alright, well that's all for now, we have given her some sedatives to keep her asleep until she is strong enough to fight back." She further explains. "You are more than welcome to see her, but we ask that you don't touch her, we don't want any wires to be nudged or moved."

Without another word from her, I rush into the hospital room that I know belongs to Juliette. Inside, she is laying on the hospital bed, asleep, attached to many wires and machines.
Seeing someone, who you love more than life itself, in this sort of situation, it breaks you. It strips you bare, leaving you in the middle of the Antarctic, letting you freeze to death - slowly and painfully.

"Oh love." I have to hold myself up with the bottom of the hospital bed, stopping myself from toppling over. "I'm so sorry." My knees nearly buckle beneath me.
The guilt that washes over me is enormous, almost impossibly grand in size.

"J..." Kishimoto's voice erupts from behind me. I turn around and see him completely devastated. "Oh my gosh."

I don't even need to feel my cheeks with my hand to know that my eyes are dripping salty liquid. "This is your fault!" My anger reaches out and lands on him. "Why couldn't you have reassured her?"
