JULIETTE'S POV:

Anderson.

The man that is the reason for so much hurt and suffering - he has caused too much damage for ten lifetimes.

Seeing the man standing there, dressed in an expensive suit, a strong, harsh hitting musk radiating off of the new fabrics - I'm not sure if I am in a nightmare right now.

"Miss Ferras," he smirks and I notice the terror on James' face when his eyes turn to where the others are - not that I am able to see any of them, there is a wall in the way. I know James enough, though, to know he has taken one look at his older brother and seen the terror that shines through his tough exterior. "Your pathetic attempt at a take over is finally coming to an end. I should have known that you could never run a single sector, let alone the whole of North America, after you failed to kill me."

My throat tightens so fearfully that I struggle to breathe. I have to remind myself of the correct steps when it comes to the simple action of inhaling and exhaling.

"Anderson." I manage to squeeze through the right grip in my throat.

"Juliette." He smirks, his whole facade is cocky and smug. "You seem to be doing well, given the circumstances, you know!"

Confusion hits me like a ton of bricks, crashing into me like a solid I'm a wall. Rock solid. "What are you talking about?"

Anderson laughs, physically bursts out laughing. "They haven't told you, have they?" He asks even though he already knows the answer. "Oh I am so glad I am the one that gets to tell you this!"

"No!" Aaron shouts, causing Anderson to momentarily shift his gaze to his oldest son, which leaves an opening for me. I run forwards and disarm Anderson before he can comprehend what is going on - his gun now in my hands and pointed directly at his forehead.

My stance shifts so my weight is balanced correctly, meaning my shooting accuracy will have increased landslides. "What the fuck are you talking about old man?!" I scream in a way I never have before.

Even though I have a gun pointed at him, he continues to laugh at me, like I'm a joke - a pun - a play on words. "The world has turned against you, Miss Ferras." He wipes at his eyes, tears spill from his eyes from the continuous chuckling. "Sebastian spun the narrative when it came to the victory of Nolan Stapleton's death, not that the public needed any convincing at all, the man was heavily looked down upon."

"So what? Sebastian killed Nolan Stapleton? How does that affect us?"

Shaking his head like I am a clueless child, Anderson looks at me with such satisfaction at the fact he knows more than I do when it comes to this topic. "Sebastian is now a hero to the people of that sector, the one Nolan terrorised, so they have been more than happy when it came to marching into battle to destroy whoever he considers a threat. I tipped off a few of the remaining reestablishment run sectors, so they happily took Nolan's side - just like that the group of people who hate you grew so much that others joined so they wouldn't be on the opposing side of this war. That makes you public enemy number one."

My jaw is slack, nailed shut as my whole mouth clenches in tension. "Excuse me?"

"You have no idea what's happening, do you?" He seems genuinely shocked. "Like not even the slightest clue."

I take a step closer, slightly bridging the gap between Anderson and I, the gun firm in my hand like an anchor weighing me down - keeping me calm, well as much as possible in this situation. Finding out you are many peoples number one target after passing out this morning and waking up from a nap to an empty bedroom and office. "It doesn't take a genius to fill in the blanks, Anderson. I can put two and two together and figure out the timeline of the whole situation."

"Are you going to keep pointing that gun at me, Juliette?" He seems completely unbothered. "Can you even fire a gun?"

I decide to reassure him, firing the bullet that lands directly in the centre of his chest. The bullet hole spills out for a second or two before completely stopping. "Nice try."

In a strange and unexpected move, Anderson opens his shirt, showing where the bullet would have hit him - though, the only mark on his chest is a small, bullet shaped scar. "What the-" my eyes squint, focusing on the blood stain on his shirt, blood that seemingly came from a wound that no longer exists. "How did you heal yourself like that?"

"He stole some of the twins blood," Kenji informs me, "he injected some of it into himself like a fucking creep." Kenji's words hit me like the sharp edge of a knife. Of course he would say it like that, he's Kenji - I expect nothing else from him, blurting it out like it's nothing. "So he now has their healing powers and is basically invincible."

"No one is invincible." I mutter under my breath, getting close enough to Anderson so only he can hear what I say. "The scared little girl that you knew, she is gone." I growl. "I used to be terrified of you," I lightly chuckle, "now you'll be the one who's scared."

I activate my lethal touch, taking one hand off of the gun I hold up, wrapping it around the man's neck.

Slamming the gun onto the floor and kicking it over to where James is. "James took this for protection." I say to James, though my eyes never leave Anderson, who is now a withering mess under my agonising power.

"Not laughing now, are you?!" I scream, causing my powers to ignite more than they ever have before. The bittersweet rush floods me, this time, though, I don't feel guilty, no, I feel absolutely amazing.
