Bose's POV:

The five of us had just gotten back from stopping another crime. The Toddler and his big goons were trying to rob the bank. Usually, I'm excited to celebrate after another victory, but this time, there was something big on my mind. Something I couldn't stop thinking of.

After we changed back into our normal clothes, Ray chimed in.

Ray: "Who wants to go hit the Man's Nest Rage Room?"

Miles: "Wait, there's a rage room?"

Ray: "Sure is. I had Schwoz make it last week. Who wants to try it out with me?"

There was a bit of overlapping cheer, but it was a point where they didn't notice that I didn't say anything. That was fine with me, though. I didn't really feel like talking that much. While everyone else started heading one way, I went another way, out the doors. I stood out there for a brief moment, then I sat down on the last step. I took a deep breath to try to clear my thoughts.

Not long after, I heard approaching footsteps. The doors opened, and I heard a familiar voice that sounded so soft and smooth.

Chapa's POV:

I was pretty excited to try out the rage room, but as I went with the others, I looked behind me and saw that Bose went out the doors. When I did, I started to worry, so I waited until the others were out of sight, then I went outside to make sure Bose was okay. I opened the doors and saw him sitting on the steps.

Me: "Bose?"

He turns around and sees me, then turns back the other way. I know now that something was wrong, because Bose is always happy to see me. I had to figure this out. I slowly approached him, then sat down next to him.

Me: "Are you okay?"

He doesn't answer right away, and I didn't wanna push it, so I waited patiently. I might have gotten a little carried away by slowly rubbing Bose's back. He notices, of course, but he doesn't move away. In fact, I think I see a smile on his face.

Bose: "I just have a lot on my mind."

I try to lighten the mood, though I think I might be terrible at it.

Me: "Hey, me, too. We always have a lot to think about."

Bose: "True... but this is different."

Me: "Oh?"

Bose looks at me this time.

Bose: "Promise you won't laugh?"

I was a little surprised he actually thought I'd laugh at him for something. I had to assure him that I wouldn't, though. I gently rubbed his back again.

Me: "Bosey... I could never laugh at something you say... or do."

Bose gave me a smile, and I smiled back, of course.

Bose: "Okay, well... sometimes, I come out here to think about certain things, like... what's gonna happen to us when we're no longer Danger Force? Like, what if the criminals finally give up and we have no reason to continue doing what we do? What'll happen after that? Will we all still be together, will one, or some, or all of us move away and forget about each other? That's the thing that always bothers me. I don't want us to forget each other, and I know it can be hard to make friends with people that are not the ones you're already so close to."

After he stops, he looks down. I couldn't think of what to say after hearing all that. That was... that was deep.

Me: *softly* "Bose..."

I decided the next best thing was to give him a hug. I rested my head on his shoulder, and closed my eyes. I felt him place his hand on my arm. The hug felt even better since I was wearing a cardigan.

Me: *softly* "We won't forget each other, at all. Even if we're not together, we'll still have great memories of everything we did together."

I slightly tightened my grip to let Bose know that I really meant it.

Bose: *whispers* "Thank you..."

Me: "For what?"

Bose: "For understanding me. For not judging me on what I think."

Me: "It ain't something to judge... ever."

We pull away after some time.

Me: "Well... I guess I'll umm... give you some more time to... to think. If you need me, I'll be in the rage room."

I stand up and I'm about to head back in, but Bose stands up as well and stops me.

Bose: "Wait..."

Me: "Yeah?"

He gets closer.

Bose: "There's something else that... that I've been thinking about for a while, and... I feel that this might be the perfect opportunity."

Me: "What's that?"

Bose: "Uhh... ah, screw it. What better way to say it than just do it?"

Before I could say anything, Bose does something I never thought I'd see coming, but also at the same time, kind of wanted him to.

He kisses me.

That's right, Bose actually kisses me. I didn't do anything at first because it was all happening so fast, and when he pulls away, he looks embarrassed.

Bose: "Should... should I not have done that?"

I didn't say anything, but I grabbed the sides of his face and kissed him back. I feel him engaging in the kiss. We both lose control for a brief moment, just fully blown making out. We regain control after some time and pull away.

Bose: "Wow... that was..."

Me: "The best thing to ever happen to us."

We smiled at each other.

Me: "Hey... forget the rage room. You wanna go see a movie?"

Bose: "Sure... but when?"

I couldn't help but giggle at his usual dumbness. I covered my mouth to try and contain it.

Me: "Now, silly."

Bose: "Ohh..."

Bose's POV:

Chapa has the cutest giggle I've ever heard. One thing I've started to realize is that when she covers it up, she squishes her little nose, and I find it so insanely adorable. I'm so glad to have her.

Bose: "It's a date, then."

Me: "Sure is."

We start to walk away from the Man's Nest, hand-in-hand.
