Chapa's POV:

I was on my way to meet my fellow bandmates, but I decided to stop at the local coffee shop first. I usually leave about an hour early so I could have some time to build up some energy before I start rehearsal. The place we meet is only ten minutes away from the coffee place. I gathered my wallet and phone, then turned off the car.

I stepped out, closed the door, then went inside. I was hit with the familiar sounds and smell of coffee being brewed, along with the rush of cool air. It always manages to relax me. I approached the counter, not looking up as I was going through my wallet.

Me: "Hey, Travis. Just the usual, please."

Suddenly, I heard an unfamiliar voice.

??: "Oh, I'm sorry, ma'am, but Travis is actually gone for the day."

I looked up and saw that it was, in fact, a different barista. I was completely taken by surprise.

Me: "Oh..."

Once I caught a glimpse of him, my words struggled to get out. His voice was already enough to get me, but actually looking at him was a whole lot more.

She had dark brown, shoulder-length hair that was partially covered by her work hat, his face looked so soft, as well as his neck, he had dreamy brown eyes, his nose and jaw were a perfect shape and size, just... wow, he looks great. The way he looked in his barista uniform just... *swoons*

Unfortunately, I didn't realize I was staring until he brought me back to reality.

??: "Miss?"

I snapped out of my daze.

Me: "Oh, umm... s-sorry, I uh, didn't mean to stare. I guess I just... didn't expect Travis to be gone."

His lips turn into a smile. As soon as he smiled, I was swooning more.

??: "No worries. So what can I get for you?"

Me: "Oh, uh... *clears throat* a tall iced caramel macchiato, please."

(I've only ever had this type of coffee before, and I'm still not entirely sure that's how they say it)

??: "Good choice."

The new barista starts to tap the buttons on the register.

??: "Would you like whipped cream on that?"

Me: "Y-yes, please."

??: "Gotcha."

He continues to tap the buttons until he stops.

??: "Alright, that'll be *insert price here,* please."

(Since I'm a bit lazy, you can try to guess what you think the price would be)

I take out my wallet and hand him the amount I owe. When I do, I feel his fingers brush up against mine. I don't know why, and it was only for a brief moment, but his touch felt so... perfect.  I noticed that he felt it, too, because he broke out into a smile before putting the money in the register and taking out a cup and a marker.

??: "Can I get a name for the order?"

Me: "Uh... C-Chapa."

The guy behind the counter writes down my name on the cup.
