It was currently 7:12am and you were sitting up against the headboard of yours and your boyfriend Jamie's bed with a throbbing headache. You had woken up a little before 6:00am when you felt the headache start to wake you from your sleep. You took some tylenol and tried to lay back down but it still hadn't kicked in yet. You were hoping to at least be able to get back to sleep for another hour since you had to be up at 10am for Jamie's charity concert with some of his friends he used to play with back in college.

You couldn't wait to hear them play. You knew it was going to be great, they were going to play some Christmas tunes which would sound amazing with Jamie on the cello. Before you knew it it was 7:45am and Jamie had woken up to start getting ready since the event started at 10am. When he went up he saw you sitting up in bed with your hand over your eyes.

"Hun, you okay?" He asked, rubbing your thigh.

"Hm, yeah I'm fine." You lied but you could tell by the way he raised an eyebrow that he didn't believe you.

"Why are you lying?" He playfully pinched your thigh. "Tell me what's wrong." He said sitting up so he was also sitting up in bed.

"I have a headache." You confessed.

"When did it start?"

"I woke up with it a little before 6am. I took a few tylenol but it's not letting up much." You replied.

"Well, it's supposed to rain today so maybe that's what it is. I know the change in weather sometimes gives you sinus headaches. That's probably what this is." He told you, looking at the window where the clouds looked dark and angry.

"That's probably why the tylenol isn't working, I probably need to take something for sinus. I don't know if it's a good idea to take any right now since I took 4 tylenol. The last thing I need is to OD on sinus and pain meds." You said, rubbing your forehead.

"Yeah, I agree. It's probably best to wait a couple hours. I'd say wait and take them around noon that way the others have a chance to work their way out of your system." He nodded and rubbed a hand over your back. "I'm gonna go jump in the shower, why don't you lay back and try to just rest your eyes for a while?"

"Yeah, I think I'll try to do that." You agreed, moving to lay back. Jamie got up and pulled the blankets up, tucking you in. He then walked away and you thought he went to the bathrooms to start the shower but he returned a couple minutes later and you felt something warm being placed over your forehead and eyes. When you opened your eyes you saw he had heated up a rice bags and placed them over your sinus areas that normally bothered you.

"See if that helps at all." He whispered, brushing some hair away from your face then heading to the shower.

"Thank you." You whispered to him as he walked to the bathroom. He turned just enough to wink at you then continued to the bathroom. You put the rice bag back over your eyes then curl up under the blankets. You could hear the shower turn on and it was like white noise to you. Eventually you did fall into a light sleep but it didn't last long. The sound of the bathroom door that connected to your bedroom woke you up.

"You look exhausted, maybe you should stay home from the event." Jamie suggested, sitting beside you in bed.

"Mm, no." You whined.

"Y/N, you look completely drained. I think it would probably be best if you stayed home." He tried again to convince you.

"The rice bag helped a lot. I feel a lot better, I want to go. This is one of my favorite events you play at and it only happens once a year. I want to go." You argued.

"Are you sure you'll be alright?" He asked, massaging your scalp making you hum.

"Yeah, I'll be okay." You nodded.
