"This is wrong," she utters while running that night on a dark alley with sweat dripping down on her face.
Her heartbeat beats erratically when she heard from somewhere the scream of some citizens and consecutive loud gun shot. The smell of gunpowder and blood filled the air.
"All of these are happening because of me," she utters with guilt once more. As she runs, she recalls the memory that causes the nightmare she's encountering today.
Seven years ago, as a scientist, she made a discovery on how to help others out of their disease. She manages to create a cure, a cure that can regenerate cells to make the sick, healthier and stronger.
The government became selfish as they saw the cure as a way to improve the strength of the army to ensure their fights. Little do they know that once you apply it to a healthy host, they'll become aggressive; killing the innocent civilians with no exemption. The cure fights the weak cells that cannot fight the virus causing the disease; therefore, replacing them to allow the sick host healthy.
She disagreed and pleaded, but they are too stubborn to listen. They let their own desires to blind them. So she made a decision to destroy the cure but upon knowing her plan, the government banned her to go near the laboratory and made an order to kill her.
After knowing the government's order, she went into hiding because she's afraid of being killed. Away from other people and live like an outsider. After all those years of hiding, the worst she said happened when she heard the news a month ago. The government injected the cure to the army causing chaos and havoc, killing every civilian - male, female, grandparents, students, and even babies.
She wanted to help the others but she feared death. She doesn't want to die. In the end, she runs again like a coward; yet, they still manage to track her.
As she runs, she makes her way deeper into the dark alley; dodging and avoiding all obstacles while running. All of a sudden, a man shot her. Shocked registered in her face but she recovered and fought back - though her hands are shaking due to fear, she manages to aim at the target and releases consecutive shots.
But dozen of men suddenly surrounded and trapped her. They all shot simultaneously, leaving her defenseless and beyond recognizable after their open fire. Bullet holes found everywhere in her lifeless body while lying on the pool of blood.
