I stood awkwardly in place, watching the whole scene unfold. "Dude.. Dude what the hell?"

"Ned, it's not as bad as it looks-"

"What are you talking about?" Ned pointed towards the comic books, "Dude you're over here calling Zoella Zoe, and you're reading fucking Superman comic books! What the hell is this?"

Dan stayed quiet. "You're wearing Star Wars pyjamas, dude how do you even hide this shit from me!" Ned whined loudly, now walking over to Dan. He pointed towards his glasses, "What are those!"

Dan scowled, "My glasses."

"Exactly!" He threw his hands in the air, "Dan, what had gotten into you? Are you sick?"

Ned placed his hand on Dan's forehead, and Dan groaned before swatting it away. "No, I'm not sick."

Ned turned to me next, "And what is this? You disappear for almost a decade and now you show up in Dan's room! Are you two secretly siblings? Is that why there's an extra room in this house?"

Dan sighed, "No, Ned."

Ned's eyes suddenly filled with tears, and his face looked like it was struck with the realization of something. "You lied to me.. All these years we've been brothers.. You lied to me Dan."

Ned took a few steps back, "What is going on here? I want the truth, no more lies!" Ned pointed his finger at Dan.

Dan sighed, looking at me. Should I tell the truth too? "You too, Zoella!" I guess that means me too.

Dan stood up, shutting his laptop, "I'll start." He slowly walked over to Ned, who took a few steps back. "Ned.. I'm a geek at heart."

Ned scoffed, "Well duh, I got the hint!" He ran his hands through his dirty blonde hair. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Dan looked down at his thumbs, "I uh.. I thought you would think I wasn't cool anymore."

Ned blinked. "Wha.. What?"

"Back when you first talked to me in middle school, you were so cool with your sunglasses, and really expensive sneakers, and even a really cool blue hoodie that became your trademark for those two years in middle school; and there I was in my damn R2-D2 boxers and Chewbacka shirt. I knew if we were going to be friends I had to ditch Daniel. So I became Dan." He sighed, "I pushed my geeky friends away to spend more time with you and your friends. And honestly, I hated sports but you guys were so into it, I felt like I had to try out for baseball and basketball with you guys. I kissed my good boy side goodbye the moment you introduced me to alcohol, only because I knew that's what I had to do to get on your good side."

"All I wanted, Ned, was to be your friend. You were everything I wanted to be. And now that I was exactly like you in my own quirky ways.. I hate it."

Ned frowned. "Dan.. I talked to you in middle school because of your love for geeky things."

"What?" Dan and I echoed each other's reactions, watching as Ned grabbed Dan's leather jacket off of the swivel chair beside him.

"I just had so many 'cool' friends I needed a little geek to balance it out. You seemed really cool so I decided to talk to you in the locker room. And you know, you didn't have to drink the alcohol that night."
