Dear Diary
Yesterday, I had been essentially a nobody. Then assembly came around and everybody knew my name, knew my face. As I went about my day at school, people greeted me in the hallways. It made me so nervous. Why would they be doing this? Who even cares about sport enough to be praising people like this? Normally I would spend my recess and lunchtimes with my friends or following him, but people kept on trying to talk to me, or wanted to talk to me about my running. I hated running, and just spent my time in an abandoned corner of the library. Even my parents somehow found out about this, telling me that they would find some way to reward me. That seemed to be the best part of my fame, but they told me I would need to wait until the weekend to see what it was. That was definitely something that I was ok with. I hoped that it would be all over in a few days, how long does it even take someone to stop being a minor celebrity at a high school anyway? Not long, I hoped.
