Dear Diary

When Biscuit woke me up today, it was a little earlier than his standard time. I noticed that, just like yesterday, the sun was shining. It was even warmer than yesterday, and would probably continue to get even hotter. I dressed quickly and then went to school.

During one of our breaks, I met with Bear in one of the 'safe' zones, free from My Secret Admirers listening devices. The area was a small playground with a yellow slide on top of a patch of artificial grass. Nobody ever seemed to go on it, or even near it. That was the most likely explanation for why it there were no bugs on it. However Bear and I still searched it for any new devices.

When we were confident that it was all clear, I began to tell her my plan. We both knew that our hands were 'tied' at school due to all of My Secret Admirer's bugs. I thought of a way to disable them. Normally, Bear and I were into the listening devices. My plan would require very small speakers. The plan was to put the small speakers near the listening devices, playing so low and so shrill that the human ear would not be able to hear it. The speakers would be able to pick it up very well. Initially the listening devices would be unable to pick up anything other than the 'dog whistle'. After a few days however, the devices would not be able to take it, and would break.

She agreed that it was a very good plan, and that we should start it as soon as possible. The only argument that she had against it was that we had taken the Network underground. To counter this, I pointed out that, not only were we likely to get back into the Network full time eventually, but also having somebody know everyone of our movements would make it harder to pretend not to be watching anybody.

We purchased a small speaker after school. Bear took it home with her to make the necessary modifications.
