Dear Diary
When I woke up today, it was significantly less colder than it had been for about the past month. Initially I was quite glad, until I opened the curtains. Most of the snow which had previously been covering everything from the ground up was gone!
Left in its wake was a lot of mud gradually being soaked up into the ground. The snow man which I had built several weeks ago was still standing, barely. Most of his lower body was gone, along with all of the miscellaneous objects which had been used for his face.
I thought of trying to spend one last day in the snow before it disappeared completely for the season, but quickly changed my mind when looking again and noticing how much mud there actually was. I do not like mud. It is awful and practically my kryptonite. I instead decided to go to my friend's house, the same one which I had seen the week before before leaving for my snow-filled holiday.
When I arrived at her house, she seemed a little surprised with my impromptu arrival, but she was fine with it. We quickly caught each other up on what we had done, before watching whatever we wanted.
When I returned home, I considered doing the school work that I was supposed to do, for school started up again in a few days. Like always, I opted against this and just played with Biscuit before going to bed.
