Dear Diary

When Biscuit woke me up, I flung open my curtains. I immediately closed them, trying to keep as much of the warmer air inside my room as possible. It was freezing outside, and just opening that window had let in far more cold air than I wanted.

I tried to get ready for school as quickly as possible, attempting to avoid all of the cold which awaited me.

At school, everybody was trying to go everywhere as fast as possible, or huddling together as close as they could, keeping as much warmth in as possible.

During one of my classes with Him, the teachers decided that it was too cold to work, so she put on a movie. It was a rather good movie, albeit not something which I would have chosen to watch.

The best part, however, occurred partway through the movie.

One of the main characters had made a joke, and He turned towards me and smiled! I didn't know if he was looking at me, past me or right through me, but I didn't care! He looked at me! He was obviously interested. This was the next move which I had been waiting for. He was ready to go further.

Now I definitely had to start seeing him more, but how could I do that without pushing away Biscuit.

I spent much of the rest of the day very happy. Happy and cold. Probably more cold than happy, but not by much

When I got home, practically running there, Biscuit looked at me as if to say "Let's go for a walk". Reluctantly, I got out his leash and stepped outside.

When he joined me, he went straight back in. He knew it was cold. He wasn't going to spend anymore time in there than he had to.

I knew that I would regret not giving him his walk later, but I did not particularly mind right now, it was just too cold to go anywhere.
