Friday, 15th July 2016 - Holiday Sneaking

Dear Diary

I woke up today, getting ready with the same vigorous energy which I had yesterday. While the plan's were not going to be as rigorous as yesterday's, I still wanted to get the day started.

When my parents and I were all ready, we went out to a small museum which was only a few minutes away. It was somewhat interesting, but tried to cover a little bit of everything, but was far too small to give anything the amount of depth it required. When we returned back to the hotel it was about lunch time. We consumed the lunch, and my parents indicated that they wished to go off to the local shopping mall to do some holiday shopping. They asked me if I wished to attend with them. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to go hunt out for Him, I declined their invitation, and they soon left.

I waited a suitable amount of time, making certain that they had not forgotten anything.

I snuck out of my room, making sure that the television was turned up slightly louder than it should have been and putting the do not disturb sign over the door. My goal was clear, find Him without being spotted.

I knew that checking each room was not a good option at all. I decided that the best thing to do was to find the computer which stores all the records and simply see which one that his family is in.

I walked towards main reception and saw that the receptionist was there. I needed a way to get her away from there. I thought about lighting a small fire, but I decided against that as it could quickly get out of hand. A fake fire would work far better. I had noticed that every room had a candle in it. My new plan was to break into a room, hope it was empty, find the candle and light it in a way which produced large amounts of smoke.

I returned to my room to pick up my lock picking equipment, and then went outside the room I wanted to get into.

I pressed my ear against the door and, hearing nothing, unlocked it. Nobody was inside. The beds were all perfectly made, indicating that this was an empty room. I quickly found the candle and some string. I tied the candle just underneath the fire alarm. I tied it in a way so that, as the fire was lit, it would last for about two minutes before setting off the fire alarm and burning through the rope holding it up. That way it would make the receptionist leave her desk, but not force the hotel to have an evacuation.

Parents goes out shopping, she stays to watch TV, sneaks out to see him. Hopefully the fall would also make the candle go out as well.

I lit the candle and escaped the room, locking the door behind me as I went. I made my way to the receptionist and waited for her to leave.

Almost as soon as I arrived she ran out of her chair, grabbed the master key and was off.

I knew that my time was limited, so I raced to the computer and found that she had not even closed the file. I quickly went through the list finding his surname and the room associated with that name. It also said the day that they were leaving, the day after I left. That worked out quite well. As soon as I had it I was off. My plan worked.

As I entered my room again, I saw the receptionist returning to her place of work. Presumably it had worked to plan, as the hotel was not burning down and she was walking at a normal pace.

I quickly checked His room. When I pressed my ear up against the door it sounded like somebody was watching TV, so I returned to my room.

When my parents got back from the shopping, it was dinner time, so we consumed dinner. After this we watched TV for a few hours, before going to bed. I still had a few days to get into that room.
