Tuesday, 28th June 2016 - A Time for Cleansing

Dear Diary

I gave Biscuit his first bath today, in an attempt to try and wash off the mud which covered him from yesterday's walk, and the other dirt which he had managed to pick up in his travels. I was a little unsure about the proper way to cleanse him, but I assumed that it would be much like a normal human washing their hair, just with a lot more shampoo and conditioner, mostly due to the additional hair that the dog has.

I ran the hot water, putting in some bath bubbles, because who doesn't like bubble baths?

When the bath water was finally ready, Biscuit eagerly jumped into the water headfirst, effectively managing to splash everything in the immediate vicinity.

Once I deemed him wet enough, I tried to put in as much of the shampoo as possible into his fur. Unfortunately, it would appear that I had made too many bubbles, and he knew it. They were high enough to hide him from my sight. As I tried to apply the cleaning lotion, he would hide underneath a dense clump of bubbles, then swim underneath the water finding a different hiding spot.

I completely gave up on even trying to put any of the cleaning lotion on him, and just threw as much water over him as I could. I hoped that it would clean him.

When the depth of the water was low, Biscuit decided that he was finally done splashing about in the bath, so he promptly got out. I tried to dry him with a blue towel, but he was having none of that. He shook himself vigorously, forcing the water on him to rapidly go everywhere else in the room, including myself and the surrounding walls.

I had to spend quite a lot of time cleaning up the now soaking bathroom. He definitely seemed to enjoy his bath, he just didn't know how to properly have one.
