Tuesday, 13th September 2016 - Security Camera Talk

Dear Diary

The student council met up today. They decided that it was too warm to hold the meeting outside and it was held indoors. It made no difference however, as all of My Secret Admirer's outside listening devices were gone anyway.

At the meeting, they continued to talk about the security camera's. It appeared that the vandalism of the school classrooms, while decreasing slightly, still occurred far more often than they liked. They presented the idea to the teacher at the end of the lesson and she said she would take it higher up.

I spoke to Mouse about it during our next class.

"They were talking about security cameras again at the council meeting".

"Have they decided on putting them in yet?" Mouse asked.

"No" I said. "However, I think that we could help suggest that they actually do it".

Shocked, she said

"You mean, we would start to mess about in classrooms?"

"Exactly" I responded. "Think about it, we would have a gateway into every classroom. We would be able to work out where everybody is at any time."

She still seemed a bit unsure.

"So, we would be able to do that?" Mouse asked.

"Definitely" I said, "Mouse should be able to do that easily."

"Ok" she said, "But should we do it?"

"Excuse me?" I asked, shocked. Of course we had to do it, we would know everything.

"Like, I still think following the two people that you are following to this extent is still a little extreme, but the entire school? That takes it to a whole new level, why would you even want to do this?". His question did make sense, and I did not really have any answer for him, aside from the truth.

"Somebody has to". I said, firm in my stance.

"But why?"

"Eventually we will need to."

My answer confused him.

"Why would we need to?"

"We just do" I said in a tone which indicated that the conversation was over. It was important to me, but I did not know how to explain it. We just had to do it. We would need to make sure that it happened.
