Dear Diary

Once again as I woke up it was far more cold than I would have liked. Not even Biscuit was jumping around, he was trying to conserve as much warmth as possible.

When I was getting ready for school, I packed a few extra warm things, as I knew that I would be sitting on the cold, hard floor for an hour as I watched him play sport. I knew that I would have a little bit of time to quickly come home before he actually started playing, so I put it in the corner of my bedroom, ready to pick it up when the time came.

During school, the teachers were trying to make us catch up on the work we missed from the past two days, but they only really succeeded in giving us more work for the holidays.

Everybody knew that it was the second last day of school and they were all excitedly talking about their plans of what they were going to do as soon as school ended. I even overheard some people say that they were just going to skip school and start their holidays early.

All too soon, yet still not soon enough, school ended. I quickly raced home, grabbing the pile of warm things that I had left on the ground and to pick up Biscuit. If I really wanted to have both the dog and Him in my life, it might as well start now.

I half-ran to the sport grounds, making Biscuit go at a significantly faster rate than what he wanted to do. I arrived just in time, for Him and his fellow teammates were just walking out onto the field.

I wrapped all of the clothes around me and held Biscuit closely, settling in to watch him for the hour.

It was much better than he remembered, with Him running about everywhere, participating in his sport. After a while, I found myself getting mildly uncomfortable, so I adjusted my position.

To my horror, I accidentally stepped on Biscuit's foot, and he let out a loud yelp of pain.

The person closest to me was Him, he looked straight at me!

"Who's there?" he called out.

Panic ran through me, and I quickly scooped up Biscuit and ran as fast as I could.

When I finally got home, I hid in my room.

He saw me. The thing I have been trying to avoid for so long finally happened. There is no way he won't recognize me now. He saw me. What have I done? Just as I try to improve my life, something like this happens!

I considered not going to school tomorrow so that I would not need to see him, but I knew that my parents would force me to go, no matter the excuses I gave them.

It took me hours that night to get to sleep, but when I finally did it my thoughts still had not changed.

What had I done.
