Dear Diary

I tried to study again today. It was not particularly successful. For the most part, I was more determined than I was yesterday. I was not getting distracted quite as easily and I was working on it a little faster than before. However, I was forced to take a break just after midday. This was due to the arrival of Mouse.

"Hello" he shouted while knocking on the door, "Can I come in?". I was pleased that he had arrived. Studying was definitely the thing that I did not want to do.

"Sure thing, it's open" I shouted back in response. My parents were not home, otherwise they would have answered the door. He walked to my room. When he saw my study materials out, his eyes widened so fast and he took a step back. Groaning, he said

"They aren't on Monday, are they?" His voice was full of hope and fear. I nodded, answering his question. His shoulders dropped.

"That is a shame." Then, as if he completely forget about them, he stood up straight again, "I'll just hope for the best".

Reaching into his pocket, he retrieved a U.S.B. flash drive which he plugged into my computer before sitting down.

"This is the reason that I am here, I was able to finish the updates on the SIM tracking, whatever you want to call it, that you have on Prey and Intruder's phone."

The corner of my mouth twitched up in a smile.

"Can I send messages now?" I asked.

"Probably"

"Probably?"

He shrugged.

"I haven't quite tested it, but what's the worst that could happen?"

Having no idea what was the worst that could happen, I remained silent. We made idle conversation as he updated the software on his phone. Mouse told me about his family and what they were all up to. He spoke of his activities. His comings and goings.

When the phone had the new software, he explained that I should be able to start using it practically right now.

I thanked him. He checked the exam timetable before quickly leaving.

While I wanted to start sending messages straight away, I felt like I should wait until after exams. It seemed to be for the best, as I would be able to focus on the exams. After them though, I would be able to begin my sabotage.
