Tuesday, 5th July 2016 - Snowed In
Dear Diary
I woke up today fully expecting another great day of playing in the snow, but alas, we were snowed in. All of the doors were covered by snow and ice, and the house had never felt so cold before. I put on practically all of my warm clothes and tried to retain as much warmth as possible by moving about from room to room inside the house.
As the day went by, the snow and ice slowly melted, allowing us to check its progress by looking out the window and seeing how much of it was covered by the frozen water.
During the evening, I was able to open the front door and squeeze through slightly, but it was far too cold to stay out there for too long. As much as I liked snow, I hoped that no more would fall over the next night and day, so that I would be able to watch him at sport on Thursday as I had decided to do last week.
The news was very similar to my hope, saying that no more snow would be falling for the next few days, but the cold temperatures were going to continue, resulting in everything being quite wet and slippery.
