Friday, 26th August 2016 - The First Drop
Dear Diary
Bear came to school with the first speaker ready. It was a little larger than when we had purchased it. She said that she had added an extra battery so that it would last a little longer. It did make the piece of technology large enough to be conspicuous if it was placed on the ground. Fortunately, all of the places that we wanted to put the devices had small places nearby which could quickly be converted to a hiding place for our speaker.
Bear and I had both decided that we should first test the device in the place with the most of My Secret Admirer's listening devices. We reasoned that if it did not work with the largest group, then it definitely would not work with any other amount of the devices.
The largest infected swarm was very near to the library, right next to the garden. This gave us a perfect place to hide the device. Bear turned on her speaker, and put it underneath one of the hedges. As it was supposed to, we heard nothing coming from the newly placed speaker.
If the device worked as they were supposed to, then most of My Secret Admirer's listening devices would be destroyed. We did not know how we would determine if the were destroyed, but we would come to that problem on Monday.
