Peridot's P.O.V:

I wonder why Garnet brought me here.. Outside?

"Hey Garnet, why did you ask me to come here?" I ask.

"I didn't want you to get hurt." She points out.

"Hurt? Why? IS HOMEWORLD COMING FOR ME!?" I freak out. This is it! The end of the great and lovable Peridot!!

"No. I mean, your feelings hurt." Garnet points out.

"Oh.. How did you know?" I ask.

"Your facial expression when Steven and Connie hugged."

~Flashback~

I watched them as they hug, I tried to look away but I couldn't! I caught Connie giving me a dirty look and smirks at me. Stupid clod!

"Peridot." Garnet called out.

"Yes?" I respond. Hopefully it will be important

"Come."

I shrug and went with her.

~Flashback ends~

I give her a sheepish chuckle. "I guess I am.. Thanks."

"You're welcome." Garnet says. "You should go back now. Connie's gone."

"Thanks." I thank her once again and I walk up to the temple.

"Hey Steven. Where's Connie?" I act like I didn't know.

"She left.." Steven sadly say.

"Steven are you okay?" I ask.

"Y-Yeah.. Let's just watch Crying Breakfast Friends together." He suggests.

I have no idea what that show's about.

"Okay." I agree. For Steven.

He turns on the T.V and leans closer to me. I blush and continue watching.

"What is that crying pancake doing to the chicken?" I ask.

"Well.. Pancake thought the chicken took his towel."

"So?" I ask.

"They argued because the towel is the only thing that wipes Pancake's tears." Steven points out.

"Ohh.." I have no idea what this show is about.

"We can watch something else if you want." Steven offers.

"No thanks. I'm starting to like this show though. BUT, I STILL LOVE CAMP PINING HEARTS!" I exclaim and laugh. "NYEYEHEHEHEH"

"You really are sucked to Camp Pining Hearts fandom." Steven says.

"Yeah, I am." I reply and smile.

He looks at me dreamily. Is he malfunctioning?

"Steven are you malfunctioning?" I ask as I wave my hand.

He snaps out. "You know, you should smile so often!" He quickly exclaims.

"Why?" I ask.

"Because, well... Uh.. B-Because..."

"Stop stuttering and tell me already." I say with furrowed eyebrows.

His face reddens. "Hm?" I impatiently tap my feet.

"I-I.. Uh.." He stutters once again.

What is going on with Steven?

"I-I think I should go eat lunch now! Wanna eat with me?" He quickly changes the subject and runs to the table.

"Steven.." I angrily mumble. I know he's hiding something. I walk down the stairs and I place my hand on Steven's shoulders.

"Look, if you're hiding something you should certainly tell me because I won't get mad, I promise I'll understand even if you lo-." I clear my throat. "Even if you watched me sleeping." I try to be calm so he can just tell me. It's kinda weird when Steven stutters when I ask why I should smile so often.

He stares at me like he's focused on me. I facepalm.

"Were you even listening?" I ask.

"Y-Yeah I did!" Steven exclaims.

I give up. "Let's just eat, I want to taste that food of yours."
