Steven's P.O.V:
Peridot opens the door and leaves. Man, why was I so awkward!? I don't know why but I feel this thing called.... Jealousy? Snap out of it Steven! She's just hanging out with some boy, not a heart...stealing...guy- I slap myself hard.
"Uh..dude?"
I turn to my left, revealing Amethyst eating egg salad. "Oh, hey Amethyst." I try to hide my blush, knowing that Amethyst's gonna ask why I slapped myself.
"Dude, did you just slap yourself?" Amethyst asks and eats one slice of egg salad, my face turns redder as Amethyst raises her eyebrow. I sigh, showing a sign of giving in.
"I just wanted to see if I'm not in a dream! Hehe! That's all!" I quickly exclaim with awkwardness in my phrase, it's safe to say that Amethyst will definitely not suspect anything at all.
Amethyst gives me a suspicious look as she eats the whole egg salad. Her face turns into a smirk, "Okay then." Amethyst raises boh of her hands up.
I silently sigh in relief, good thing I didn't give in. I know what Amethyst does! She's gonna tease me all day long that might trigger my shield and shove her off a roof.
Amethyst opens the door to her room and goes in. Let me guess, more junk? I chuckle after what I've thought. Now back to my jealousy.
Why do I even want to think about that!?
I guess I should go to my weekly training now. I wonder where Pearl is. I hope she's on a mission with Garnet so I can just rest. I'm feeling so tired after all that riding on 'Zachary stealing Peridot from me' train of thoughts.
Ah, forget it, I could just train tomorrow. I'm sure Pearl won't mind since I'm great at fighting. Peridot's my girlfriend! I facepalm while I laugh. I could hang out with her!
I go outside and I look around, looking for Peridot. I inhale, and exhale, just to keep me calm whenever something happens which I don't want to think about!
Dun, dun, dun dun dun!
My ringtone starts to sound, I pick up my phone from my pocket. I look at the screen, it says 'Zachary'. Yep, I got his number last night. I answer it and I pull the phone close to my left ear.
"Hello?"
"Oh hey, Steven. I want to ask if you can come with me and Peridot to Fish Stew Pizza."
I freeze for a while, he's with Peridot? I'm coming!
"Y-Yeah! I'll come!"
"Cool. See ya!"
I end the call and I immediately put my phone back on my pocket. I have to go to Fish Stew Pizza! Fast! But wait, Steven, Zachary is a FRIEND. Remember that!
I rush down the stairs and I run to the city. I zoom as the speed of light. I stop for a while, cool! It's a new power! Super speed! I run again with my new power to Fish Stew Pizza. I finally reach the place. I go inside, I look around.
I see a table on the upper left of the store. Where Peridot and Zachary are sitting on. Agh!
"Hey guys!" I say with a smile as I sit down beside Peridot.
"Hey Steven." Peridot and Zachary say in unison.
I take Peridot's hand and Peridot looks at my hand. She chuckles and turns to Zachary again. All I can do now is listen to their conversation without feeling left behind or worse..Zachary stealing my girlfriend from me.
