Steven's P.O.V:
"He did what!?" Pearl asks loudly as she clutches her head, shocked from what happened yesterday.
"Yeah and this happened.." I point to my stomach, they see a wrapped clothing where Zachary stabbed the long stick in. The Crystal Gems gasp, Pearl is the most freaked out one here.
"We didn't know what happened! Peridot and I went outside and saw them two fighting, we experienced a lot of gore..mostly blood.. Zachary has bruises and blood on him too but Steven got stabbed on the stomach, and Zachary left a gash on his chest and leg.." Connie explains.
It still hurts though, but I healed it with my healing spit before it became more painful. I look over Peridot, who's looking outside leaning on the doorway looking outside with Lapis. I think about Zachary.. Why does he want Peridot when he has a romantic relationship with Connie!? It doesn't make sense!
"Connie.. Can I talk to you?" I ask.
"Yes, but let me speak first.." Connie says. I nod in agreement and we walk towards a corner of the barn, where no one can hear us. I really want to know the story of them, did they argue or something? Or is Zachary trying to cheat on Connie!? Does she even know what the topic is?
We both sit down on a hay. "When I went in to call the gems, I saw Zachary packing his bags. I asked him why he had to do it. And the reason is.."
"She wants Peridot." I continue.
"How did you know?"
"He told me before he started beating me up, it was really painful and I didn't know Zachary's strong. Also, why does he want Peridot when he has a girlfriend!? Well you are Zachary's girlfriend." I say. Connie widens her eyes and looks away, sweating. She's really suspicious now.
"I have to tell you this and please don't get mad at me." Connie says. I raise my eyebrow as I cross my arms. Connie sighs, ready to give in.
"Our relationship was fake."
"What!?" I growl. "Why would you have a fake relationship!?"
"When I still wanted you to be mine, I had my friend Zachary to play a fake relationship with me, with Zachary stealing Peridot so you think that Peridot is cheating with you, you can be...mine. But it's different now! I don't want anyone to be mine anymore, I want a friend so I told Zachary to stop the plan, he seems shocked about it because he wants Peridot for himself.."
My eyes widen in shock. I clench my fists in anger. "I trusted you and gave you a chance." I cross my arms.
"I'm so sorry Steven, I can make it up to you. I-I'll even help you guys get through your problem with Zachary!" Connie exclaims. "Give me this last chance and I won't blow it." Connie begs.
"Fine. But only if you help me overcome our problems. HELP." I say. Connie nods in agreement, but she's still guilty.
"Now I'm going go take a nap. Jeez." I say and I stand up.
-Time Skip-
I sit up from the couch after a nap. I see Peridot still looking at the sunset.. I stand up and I walk up to her.
"Hey." I hold her shoulder. Peridot responds with a shocked gesture and looks at me with a sad smile. "Hello."
"Look, Connie and the gems are gonna help us. Zachary won't bother you anymore." I point out, trying to make her feel better.
"No.. It's not that.." Peridot mumbles.
"Then what is it?"
"It's how he treats you! Look at yourself, he's hurt you more than how I was treated back at homeworld.. I know that Zachary isn't cheating on Connie-"
