Steven's P.O.V:
Peridot and I hop off the van and I wave dad good bye. Peridot looks at the sunset and she turns to me.
"So, let's go?" She asks.
"Go where?" I ask confusingly.
"Inside." She chuckles and goes in. I laugh and I follow her in.
I sit down and I sigh in relief. "What do you wanna do tomorrow?"
"I don't know.." Peridot shrugs.
"We could have a date.." I mumble. She looks at me.
"What did you say?" She chuckles.
My cheeks turn red. "A date.."
Peridot laughs. "You know you can stop blushing, although we're a couple now."
I laugh and nod in agreement. "I think I should sleep now, good night Peri~" I hop on the bed and I close my eyes.
Wait, it seems like I'm forgetting something.
My eyes widen.
Connie's birthday is today! How could I forget? Oh wait we're not exactly friends anymore so, heh!
"Good night Steven." I hear Peridot say.
-The next day-
I wake up and I stretch my arms. I'm alone in this house though.. I wonder where Peridot is.. Well, I'm going to get pancake for breakfast.
Peridot's P.O.V:
I breathe in that fresh air outside the temple. Ah, good to be back here even though I only stayed at the barn for one day.
I see Connie and Zachary coming, oh jeez. I'll just go hide..
I open the door, seeing Steven eating a roundish thing.
"Hey Peri!" Steven greets with his mouth full.
I laugh and I wave. I go to the couch.
"Please don't come. Please dont-" My mumbling cuts off by a knock. "Eep!"
"I'll get it!" Steven says and opens the door. It shows..
Connie!
Steven closes the door in frustration.
"Wait!" Connie exclaims and stops the door. "I-I.."
"What." Steven says, their eyes are staring with each other's eyes. It makes me feel incredibly uncomfortable.
Connie sighs. "I'm sorry." She says with sincere hope.
"About what? Say it." Steven opens the door.
"For being jealous and being an total jerk to Peridot. I'm sorry too, Peridot." She looks at me for the last part.
Steven sighs uncomfortably. "Fine."
"Yes!" Connie punches her fist in the air.
"But!" Steven snaps. "I still do not forgive you fully. It will take me time."
"It's fine! I'll wait, I'll go with Zachary for a while.. See you!" She then leaves. Steven closes the door and sighs.
I raise my eyebrow in confusion. "Maybe you should just forgive her." I suggest.
"Well I can't forgive her fully for what she did with us." Steven says and crosses his arms.
"Fine." I sigh. "But I would forgive her. Though I am the one most impacted by it."
Steven nods and continues eating his breakfast. "Want some?"
"I'm good." I shrug. "I'm gonna go outside. See ya!"
"Okay. Love ya Peri!" Steven beams up.
"I love you too."
