Peridot's P.O.V:
"But I'm different now! I'm different!" I declare to Lapis. "I even helped save the Earth! And I called Yellow Diamond a clod!" I add. Lapis stands up with her bruised nose and cheek. She rubs it one more time and she resummons her water wings.
"Why does Steven trust you?" Lapis asks, almost like a growl reminding me about how dead I am now, so is Zachary. I manipulate the metal again for defense.
"GGRRRRRAAAAAA!!!" Lapis growls loudly and flies swiftly towards us. Zachary pushes my head down in order to duck and we both turn around seeing Lapis still looking at us with a very deadly glare.
Lapis flies towards us again with probably a new strategy. Zachary runs and jumps, giving Lapis a great kick in the face. My eyes turn into stars, amazed by what Zachary just did. "You can fight!?" I ask.
"Yeah." Zachary shrugs with a smirk, I manipulate the metal again, noticing that I dropped it during Lapis's attack. I hope this goes well and I can finally attempt to reason with Lapis once again.
I hit Lapis's face and stomach, multiple times, hearing many groans from her due to the feelings of pain, I finally stop and I pull the metal to me. Zachary looks at me with a frustrated expression.
"Why'd you stop?"
"I want to reason with her." I reply. Lapis looks at me with sadness instead of anger. I'm feeling guilty but at the same time, glad. I don't know, I want to reason with her peacefully and she did try to hurt us.
"L-Lapis.." I start. "I know you're really really mad at me but that was in the past, I only needed an escort and an informant and that's the mission that should be done! Things didn't go well for neither of us."
"So?" Lapis raises her eyebrow. "Do I care? You brought me back to Earth!" She raises her tone. Zachary prepares his fist, I lower his fist down so no harm will be triggered.
"I didn't want to be here anyway! But I love Earth now!"
My voice echoes through the hospital. Lapis looks at me with a very frustrated face. It slowly turns into a calm expression and she sighs. "Where's Steven?"
"Steven is uhhh.. Well..."
-Time Skip-
"You captured him!" Lapis exclaims and looks at us.
"What?! No!" Zachary and I protest in unison. "This is a hospital room! Where they take care of harmed people!" Zachary exclaims loud enough for Lapis to understand.
"What happened?" Lapis asks. I'm telling her everything, how we fought Malachite , how Steven was harmed and how we saved Lapis from being trapped in a fusion with Jasper.
Lapis nods. "If only I was strong enough to let go of the fusion!" Lapis growls and punches the wall. "It's Jasper's fault! Where is she!?"
"Poofed."
Lapis sighs in relief. I'm glad she's calm, letting her see Steven has been the best idea Zachary and I have thought. Lapis turns to us with a death glare.
"We're not done here, Peridot."
"W-What!? I already gave you what you wanted!" I protest. Lapis continues glaring at me and Zachary. Lapis sighs angrily.
"Fine, but I'm not going to hurt you for Steven." Lapis growls. Doesn't she know that we have a romantic relationship..?
I nod, I have to understand that I did a very bad thing to Lapis, that is bringing her back here on Earth.. But I'm sure she'll like it here!
"I'll stay here for a while." Zachary says. I noticed that Zachary is being protective of me. I sit down, exhausted from what happened. Zachary sits down with me too, leaning close, watching Lapis. He's being protective of me, but that's what friends are for! Right?
"I mean..Can I stay here? For a while?" Zachary asks. "Of course." I reply. Maybe he wants to watch over Steven and protect us at the same time. But why? I have metal manipulation powers!
I hope Lapis will like it here.
