Peridot's P.O.V:
I walk inside with a blush. "Oh my stars!"
His hands were so warm and I felt secure. Why did I even run away?
I walk towards the bathroom and I lock it.
"You ruined your one chance, Peridot!" I growl to myself. That was a once in a lifetime chance to cherish the moment! Ugh!
He said there is someone who is as beautiful as the sunset. Connie?
Me?
No, no, and no. Why could I be as beautiful as the sunset!? HAHAHAHHA Peridot you're really funny!
I sigh. Still, I have to get outta there.
I open the door and I see Steven. "AH!"
"Sorry I scared you!" Steven exclaims.
"It's okay. You can use the bathroom now!" I offer and I leave.
"Peridot, wait!" He exclaims and grabs my hand.
I turn around slowly. "Y-Yeah?"
"Uh..." He starts. "Did you enjoy the sunset?"
"Of course!" I reply and I smile. He glares at me for a while and he let me go.
"Glad you did, Peri!" He says as he uses the bathroom.
Aww, I thought it was something romantic. I cross my arms and I slouch on the couch.
~The next day~
I walk out of the bathroom. Noticing Steven is not around my radius.
Not in the bed, not in the couch, not in the kitchen.
I check outside. I see Steven and Connie talking. I catch Steven looking at me.
"Hey Peridot!" Steven greets.
Connie gives me a dirty look as Steven is waving at me.
"Hi Steven." I wave back.
Steven turns to Connie and she immediately greets, "Hi Peridot!"
I wave back. And I fakely smile, pretty sure she's using the fake smile too.
They talk again. All I can do is watch.
Watching... Watching.. And watching. Snap out of it Peridot! My face turns dark green as Connie holds Steven's hands. I try to look away but I can't.
Steven waves Connie goodbye and he turns to me. Steven smiles at me and walks up to me.
"About the long talk... Uh... I'm sorry you had to wait." He apologizes.
"Huh? It's alright!" I laugh. I'm doing the best fake laugh I could give.
"Why was Connie glaring at me for like a second and turns to you to talk?" I ask. They might have been talking behind my back.
Steven blushes and has his eyes widen. "Sh-She was talking about... Uh... UNICORNS! Connie said you remind her of unicorns so yeah!" Steven quickly exclaims.
Lies. "You're hiding something." I cross my arms.
"Fine." Steven gives up. "She was talking about you and I."
"And?"
"If we have a romantic relationship." Steven says.
HAHAHAHAAHAHAA
I laugh. "Really!?"
Steven blushes harder. "Yeah. I was pretty scared because.."
"Hm?"
"She maybe got the wrong... You know... Information."
Wrong.... Information? Well, there was never a romantic relationship between us.
I sigh. "Okay."
We got inside and we sit down on he couch.
He scrolls on his 'phone'. To be honest, Earth has fascinating technologies compared to homeworld's.
He smiles and puts his phone down.
"Do you have anything to do tonight?" Steven asks.
"Nothing in my schedule. Why?" I ask.
"I want to take you on a dance."
