Peridot's P.O.V:
"Hey Connie!"
Connie? She's Connie?
"Hello Steven." Connie replies and looks at me.
Steven turns around and chuckles. He grabs my hand and pulls me. "This is Peridot, we're gonna eat at the big donut."
"Alright. Can I come?" She asks.
"Sure! The more the merrier." Steven says and grabs my hand again.
"So, she's Connie?" I ask.
"Yea, isn't she beautiful?" Steven whispers.
BEAUTIFUL? BEAUTIFUL!? I have to admit, she is.
"Yeah!" I exclaim.
"Not that I have a crush on her, it's what I think." Steven points out.
Jealousy is coming to me, I'll be fine as long as I don't start a fight. Don't let jealousy come to you. Gah, why is jealousy even coming to me!? It's not like I'm in love with Steven or anything.
I guess I am in love with him..
"Hey Steven. Back for another donut?" A lady asks
"Another? OH NOOOO." Steven sighs. "I forgot to give Peridot the mint donut."
"Peridot? Do you mean that girl over there?" The lady asks and points at me.
I just wave awkwardly and smile.
"Yeah, I got a mint donut for her but I forgot to give it to her. Can I buy an another mint donut then?" Steven asks.
"Sure, that's what I like about you, Steven." The lady said.
"What, Sadie?" Steven asks.
"You'll do anything to make a person happy." The lady known as Sadie smiles. She hands him the bag.
"Thanks." Steven says as she grabs the bag. They chat for a while and I catch Connie glancing at Steven and Sadie.
Should I talk to her? Uh, yeah I should.
I sit down with 'Connie'.
"Hi Connie." I greet.
She keeps glaring at Steven and Sadie.
"Uhh, hi?" I say again.
She shockingly turns to me. "H-Hey."
The awkward silence fills the atmosphere.
"You know, Peridot." Connie starts.
"Hm?"
"Steven talks about you, are you really that close?" She whispers.
"Yeah." He talks about me? I try to hide my blush.
"He even thought about you when Lion was chasing you around, he said you were so cute." Connie adds.
I chuckle and blush even harder. STOP BLUSHING.
"Alright." Steven ends and walks up to us.
"Here, Peridot."
"Thanks. Are you sure you'll be fine? This isn't free, you had to pay for it, if you want, you can have it. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I care for you and your hunger." I say.
"Aww, you care about me!" Steven exclaims and hugs me.
I blush and catch Connie staring at me.
"Hey Connie." Steven lets go of me and starts.
"Hm?"
"This is Peridot." He introduces.
"Oh, we talked earlier." Connie says.
"Cool!" Steven exclaims. "Should I say something about you to Peridot and say something about Peridot to you? So you guys could get along."
"Yeah." I agree and munch the donut. THIS IS SO GOOD. "I want more!"
Oh, yeah. "Never mind! I don't wanna waste any of your money."
Steven's ringtone activated. "Someone's calling. I'm gonna go outside." Steven goes outside.
Connie glares at him and turns to me. "Alright, Peridot."
I give her the confused look.
She turns around and everyone is gone. "What does Steven like about you?"
"Huh? Why'd you ask?" I ask.
"Because I want to!" She raises her voice.
"Why are you raising your voice!?" I ask. What's with her!?
"Because I want to. JUST tell me, why does Steven talk about you, it's like I already know you."
"How am I suppose to know?" I growl. I can feel the jealousy from her.
"Ugh, just stay away from Steven." She says and crosses her arms.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me." Connie sneers.
"What do you want from me!? Steven?" I ask.
"Obviously!" She growls.
I stand up as she stands up.
"Stay away from Steven. I have her mom's sword, if you report to him, I'll stab you!" Connie threatens me.
What!?
"Too bad, I live with him and-"
The door opens. "So, my dad told me he's gonna be away for one week and-"
"What's going on?" Steven asks.
"What's the bickering about?" Sadie suddenly asks.
"Steven, I gotta go." Connie says and storms off.
He waves her goodbye.
"Peridot?" He calls.
"Let's... just go." I sigh and walk off the Big Donut.
"Hold up!" Steven exclaims and comes to me.
"Tell me, what's going on with you and Connie?" He asks concernly.
"Let's go to the temple first." I sigh and move ahead of him.
I never expected this. What should I tell Steven now!?
"Yo Peri."
