Chapter 37: Body Swap

Peridot's P.O.V:

-The next day-

I look outside, seeing Connie and Zachary walking towards us with a friendly smile. Steven still doesn't forgive her but oh well.

I would go and say 'Hi' but... I'd rather wait here than go to those two. So glad the war's over for the both of us, Steven and I.

"Hey Peridot." Connie waves me hi with a warm, forgiving smile. Zachary nods, to be honest, I like his black curly hair.

"Hello. Why are you here?" I ask, though I know that there's a possibility that she wants to see Steven.

"I want to see Steven, if he has made up his mind." Connie replies. "Can I come in?"

"Hmm.. Sure." I nod in agreement and I go inside, Steven's eating his 'waffles'.

"Hey Steven, you have a visitor." I beam up as Steven turns to me with a smile, he swallows his waffles.

"Who is it?" Steven asks.

"Well.. It's-"

"Me." Connie continues and smiles sheepishly. Zachary smiles with her.

Steven stands up from his chair. "What do you want?" He crosses his arms.

"Just want to see if you forgive me!" Connie exclaims, "Woops, sorry about that exclamation."

Steven chuckles for a while and snaps back to what he's supposed to look like. "I forgive you, but not fully. Still not."

Connie frowns. "Aww, I'll see you." She goes out with Zachary. Poor Connie..

"You still can't forgive her?" I ask.

"Well I'm still mad at her for what she did, so.." Steven responds. "Anyway, a waffle would be nice! Want some?"

"Sure!" I exclaim.

-Time skip-

I go out and the door reveals Connie. "Hey Peridot."

"Oh hey... Connie..." I trail off, obviously I'm still afraid for what she might do to me, possible outcomes may happen.

"Is Steven here?" Connie asks.

"No.. Why?" I respond.

"I'd like to see if he's here.." Connie sighs. "You forgive me right?"

I turn my head to the side. "Same as Steven."

"I'm sorry for the things I did and the stuff I said to you, that was selfish of me." Connie says, with sincereness in her eyes.

"You're not trying to get him back, are you?" I ask.

"Pfft!" Connie laughs. "I have a boyfriend, why would I do that? I just want to become friends, that's all."

"You have a point." I admit.

"So.. I'll see you later?" Connie asks.

I nod and I wave her good bye, I immediately close the door.

Steven's P.O.V:

-In my dream-

Everything is dark and silent. I look around, seeking for anything. Somehow I think that something's off..

I turn around to see Peridot. "P-Peridot!?" My voice shakes a little, feeling that something's not right.

The dream Peridot is gigantic, her eyes are closed and her mouth stays open, this is really creeping my armpit hair.. Really..

And now I'm being sucked to Peridot's mouth. "AHH! GO AWAY DREAM PERI!"

I wake up, I look around and I sigh. "Glad the dream's gone." I cover my mouth. My voice isn't my voice! I quickly stand up and I look at my hands, they're green! I look at my legs and it's similar to Peridot's leggings.

Wait..

Peridot's leggings!?

I run to the bathroom as fast as I could, I see myself in the mirror and I gasp.

"I'M IN PERIDOT'S BODY!?"
